Duplicate Profiles showing up over the past 3 days

Hi All,

I wanted to let everyone know that over the past 3 days there have been some duplicate profiles show up on Paganspace. I have contacted the network and they are investigating this strange occurrence right now. I don't like to say this but I am none-the-less, If a member is purposely creating these empty profiles depicting members pictures then please know the network is tracing the IP addresses and anyone caught doing this will be permanently deleted, if that be the case.

At his point, this only appears to be affecting Paganspace which I must admit has me raising an eyebrow but the ban button is easy enough to push if for some reason it's a deliberate act. And believe me, I'm not afraid to click it :-)

Hopefully, this will be resolved over the next couple of hours and I truly hope this is a network glitch and not a deliberate act by someone who needs to get a hobby.

Comment by Venus_Moonangel on July 15, 2008 at 9:33pm: A few days ago, my paganspace page seemed to have dissapeared, so I made a new one. Maybe this happened to other members too, and the duplicates are from us, who had our pages dissapear.

There are numerous networks encountering this duplicate and jargon profile issue, I have had to ban a few that showed up today because they appear to have a bunch of jargon for the username and no personal data. So, hopefully I didn't ban someone who is an actual member...ugh ..lol If I did then I'm sure I'll receive an email about it, so I can apologize.

Venus, yours is not one of the profiles that are showing up strangely. Although, I have not heard of anyones profile vanishing until now. Thanks for the info on that I'll check the network and see if there's some data on that issue.

Ugh I wish they would hurry up and resolve this...lol
