Considering a partner for PaganSpace.net 2/5/09

Hi All,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. This is an announcement that has tormented me for about a month or so, which is why it's taken me so long to process it and actually write it. Can you tell I'm a nervous wreck? lol

Seriously though, Paganspace.net has grown so quickly and become so large that I am finding it difficult to juggle it, my corporation & still have a little bit of a life. I'm doing it but I'm also working around the clock and let's face it I'm not getting any younger (I don't like to admit that but who cares it's the truth...lol). Over the past year my sleeping habits have become about three- four hours a day which is beginning to take it's toll, not just physically but also, I'm so tired that I cannot complete part of what I was called to do in this life, which is writing. I really miss that so much and I miss having time to be here and interact with the community on more than just an owner/pain in the butt (hehe) basis.

So, without going on and on (for once...lol) the point is that I have come to the decision to seek someone, possibly 2 people or an organization to partially partner up with me on Paganspace. Paganspace is my heart and soul, which means that this will not be something that I decide lightly and it is not a decision that will be based solely on monetary means. Of course, I'll be honest, I'm not giving up nearly half of the site for free, I wish I could but I can't afford to do that; I have a lot of time and money invested in it. On another note, I will not consider anyone who has no ties to the Pagan Community, no genuine care for this big umbrella of beliefs, and no understanding that it is our diversity and differences that makes Paganspace what it is, a place for all to come. Which is why I am placing this here and not elsewhere.

To put this plainly I am looking for someone who has possible background in working with larger groups or web sites, someone who is fair, open minded, dedicated and very patient (yes, patience is a must around here...lol). I need someone who will actually work with me on the site, which is pretty much self-maintained but not completely, mainly daily operations of it (approving new members, fielding issue reports) and working with me on ideas to help better the site. What I do not and will not have is someone who just wants to flash around a title of being a partial owner, someone on a power trip or someone who talks down to people or wants all the glory and none of the work while simultaneously having their hand out at the end of each month.

If for some reason I cannot find someone, then I will just keep going until the Gods see fit that the right person comes along, so I do not want a bunch of stupid rumors to fly about that Paganspace will be closing (because it will not, no matter if I find someone or not) or that Paganspace will be dramatically changed (another big no, unless the changes are good for the community ie: adding new additions that the community will enjoy or additions that will help make the community better for the members).

The basics statistics of the site: I use google analytics to track all site statistics: From Jan. 5th through today (Feb 4th) Paganspace has had 195,514 Unique Visits and 1,561,892 Pageviews.
