I was wondering what artistic abilities everyone has. My artistic talents lie in modeling clay. I cannot make anything that looks like a real human or animal, but I seem to have a knack for creating things that are purely from my imagination. I have taken some photos of one of my creations. I mad this piece when I was 17, I am now 22 soon to be 23 this month. The antenae on the left (or the pieces right side) had broke off some time ago. Please share with everyone what your artistic abilities are and please share photos of your creations.

I'm a great seamstress and have often thought of making my own line of more Pagan inspired clothes. It's hard to find stuff that I really like. It all looks the same. I like unusual clothing, not the same old blah stuff. And then when you do find it, it's outrageously priced!

I do some drawing with hard pastels and colorer pencils but not anything that is very good. It's more just for me, drawing of journey's I have had or dreams or whatever. I have given a few things away to my sister and my niece. I could never sell it or anything.

I crochet and make afgans too. Just whatever I feel like doing at the time! :)

Peace Lily

I'm so excited that I have everything all ready to spend the weekend sewing! LOL I LOVE tunics and I have some great fabric to make them. I am heading to Orlando on the 18th and I want to have a few nice things to wear there too. Maybe some sun dress type things? Not sure cuz even though it's only in the 60s here, I'm sure it's still hot there.

Peace Lily :)

I also sculpt in clay, animals, facial busts, some wonderfully odd things like decaying castles and modern shapes. I would love to show some pics but my 15 year old daughter destroyed my digcam which was quite expensive and I have yet to replace it. Hopefully, I'll have a new one soon.

It's been some time since I've had time to sculpt and I want to take a pottery wheel class when I find the time. I'm very interested in creating bowls, vases and the like.
Blessings of the Day!

I am that way with art. I don't sit there and draw photographic images in pencil like my mom, I draw what I see in my minds eye or my imagination. I do the same thing when I am making jewelry, I don't have a set pattern every time.
Leta see, freehand pencil, occasional water color, sewing(mainly bodices and skirts, but I make whatever I need to), poetry and science fiction writing, and when I was a kid, I had oil based clay to play with instead of playdough or lotts of toys, so I made and remade my toys and landscapes from that...theres the stone jewelry(mostly wire wrap stones, but I make strung chip necklaces and intricate leafy looking things too).
I never really got to have art classes when I was young, and when I got older, the inner writer took over, so I didn't take them in college either. All I know about pretty much all of it (but the writing) I learned from Mom or Dad.
My mom likes photography--I never had good luck getting the good shot, or the camera would break(which is why I don't have many photos on here).
This afternoon I am finishing a bodice and starting a dress--first I have to adjust the pattern.
I can't wait to get situated financially, so i can try my hand at interior design.
I am like felicity, I have to have something to do while watching TV, hence the jewelry. It drives Geoff nuts sometimes that we'll be watching a movie, and instead of cuddling with him, I break open my toolbox and start sorting beads and stones.
Or I write on the sci fi while he plays video games.

Drawing and photography are my main artsy endeavors, though I have a degree in commercial art, so I can do other things.. with skill, I may add. Though I'm lacking in computer art skills since my degree is a tad out of date. :D

Selene,

Those items are beautiful!

I used to sell some of those very same pendants. Do you cast your own silver? I've been searching for someone to make a custom Mjollnir for me for ages.

That's a nifty little fairy!
I do a lot of surreal photography (some of it's on my page here), pottery, and sculpture http://blueillusion.deviantart.com is my online gallery. All of it is nature/spirit based, and I see making art as a product of my devotion, like meditating or praying. I've mostly been doing the pottery lately, don't have a darkroom to do the photos right now, and I do have some plans for some ceramic sculptures that oughta be neato when/if I get it done.
Thanks for sharing! Do you have any more pics anywhere else?
