Several times on these forums I've read about how it's so much better to make your own tools to work with, of which I whole heartily agree. And when talking about Green Witchcraft, Garden Witchcraft or Herb Magick, it's better to grow your own, again which I whole heartily agree. I've read people talking about how great a feeling it is to grow plants from seedlings and that made me wonder. Why stop at seedlings? Why not grow plants from seeds? And if you're going to do that, why not grow plants from seeds, breed your plants, and then plant those seeds before doing magickal work. So you'd have two generations of energy invested in your tools. And if you're going to do two generations, why not more? Why not 5 or 6 generations? Obviously there's a time limitation, but where do you draw the line? And why do you draw it there?

I can understand about gardening being addictive! Six months ago, I had a black thumb, if I looked at something wrong it died. I don't know what changed, but not only am I now able to grow things, but I have a 95% sprout rate when I use seeds. My first thing to grow was tomato plants from seeds, I planted 30 expecting 3 or 4 to sprout, but they all did. Unfortunately, they got some kind of disease that I couldn't get rid of no matter what I tried and had to get rid of them, but since then, I've been decent at keeping things alive.

I can't wait till I either have a) more window space to grow things, or b) land so I can actually plant things!

P.S. Do you know anything about rooting rosemary clippings?

Wow! That's a huge rosemary bush! I live in an apartment in Florida, so our seasons are really weird here, you can grow almost anything at anytime.

I look forward to seeing pictures!

Rosemary is supposed to be very easy to grow from cuttings, you could use honey instead of rooting powder, i have some lavender cuttings sitting on the windowsill at the moment, i think i have around 6-7 that have taken out of 10 :)
Gardening is a never ending venture, except for if you are into permaculture according to the books we shouldn't have to lift a finger once it's established lol
