When I was 15-16, I had weight issues. I wasn't anorexic, but much the opposite. One afternoon I had become very upset and was feeling desperate. I layed down on the floor in my living room and cried heavily. After a few minutes I could almost feel a hand on my back, and a calmness settle within me. It was nothing unusually powerful, but was also nothing that had ever happened before. I felt relieved, and comforted. I suspect it was my father's mother, who had passed some years earlier, and was the only family member I had seen pass on.
She was a raucus woman, but always knew when you were hurting.

When I was about 22 my grandfather passed away. He was my bastion of strength and comfort for all of my life. Soon after he passed, I realized he still was. I had a dream about him. He looked much the same as he did in life, save much healthier than he did at the end. We sat and talked for what seemed like an eternity.
Since then, in moments of great strain or sorrow, I will feel a warm wind blow across my cheek or my arm, even indoors. It is warm and loving, an embrace without flesh. And it is my belief that it is him telling me I'm not alone and that he is still watching over me. ^_^
There are other spiritual encounters, some truly not so nice ones. But this one was the one I wished to share on the heals of your story. Again, thank you for sharing, Siiri. ^_^

I have had many experiences with the supernatural through out my life, however the most intense experience was seeing a full body apperition of a man in period clothing in my old work place several years ago. Also a house that i use to live in was very active and many unexplained things happend such as items being moved, lights turning on and off hearing voices and ext..

I don't have any pictures but I was once sitting on our sofa{as I am now},and our kitchen is to the left of our living room. I just turned to the kitchen and saw a Woman. She was positioned like she was coming out of our kitchen,and she looked at me with not a friendly look on her face,and she was gone quickly. I've never seen her again. She looked older than me{in her fourties} and she was Caucasian with fair skin and brown hair. I don't know if she was a ghost or if it was just my mind. But I saw her.

I have had many ghostly encounters *I grew up in a haunted house*. Some experiences, especially as a child, were terrifying to me and others were quite funny. One night, *around samhain, go figure! lol*, I was sitting in a chair in the livingroom eating a bowl of spagetti o's. I was 20 yrs old and home from college. My father was in another chair watching football. As I was eating I just happened to look down onto the floor and there was my cat Patches staring up at me. She lept into the air as if to land in my full lap and I screamed bloody murder spilling spagetti o's everyplace. My father nearly had a heart attack and asked what was wrong. When I told him that Patches tried to jump into my lap we both laughed. I had euthanized Patches barely two weeks prior due to an advanced case of stomach cancer. I keep her ashes in a silver box close to my home and she visits every year around this time. As a matter of fact, I'm keeping my eyes open for her right now!

Only a few days ago I had an experience.
I was lying on my bed listening to music on my Ipod with my eye's closed. I was sinking into a meditative state whilst losing myself, listening deeply, to the music.
And as if I were just opening my eyes I saw a figure jump into sight. Like this figure had found an opportunity to be seen and leapt for it. I was shocked at the suddenness of it all. I remember it being a woman, though I couldn't see her face, she was dressed in what looked like a white wedding dress with many frills and folds dull with with age. She disappeared as suddenly when seeing me startled had frightened or worried her. I was fully awake throughout the experience. My friend, Lilacwitch, thinks it might have been a guardian angel but I'm not so convinced it was.

I had an experience very similar to this: when I was about 8 or 9 years old, we had to put our cat Sherman to sleep due to advanced encephalitis. A few days later, I was lying in bed with my mom, who was reading a book, and I heard very loud purring and the little pitter patter of kitty footsteps on the mattress. I assumed that it was our other cat, but when I looked up, I saw Sherman walking towards me. I wasn't even scared, to be honest: I just matter-of-factly told my mother that our dead cat had come by to say hello. She was so enthralled with her book that she replied, "That's nice." haha I still get teary eyed when I think about it.

A few months ago I was walking from my computer room into the living room when I saw a full bodied apparition. It looked like a young woman bent over with her knees to her chest, while still standing. She had her hands covering her face. But I can tell you exactly what she was wearing. She had on tan jeans, a ribbed long sleeved tan shirt. And her hair was long, curly and a bronzy orange color. She stayed there for what seemed like an eternity. And when I spoke out loud suddenly she disappeared. Really very odd.

Morning Misuchi! I've had many experiences throughout my life. I've seen orbs, heard noises and/or music playing, been grabbed and even seen my best friend later on in the day that she had died. My worst experience when I was about 14 or 15 I guess. I had been using a regular deck of cards to answer people's yes or no questions. Never had a problem with it before. One day, some how, I managed to bring something bad in. It seriously messed with us. When we stepped out of the room, things smelled fine. When we stood in the doorway and stuck our noses in, we smelled the most foul smell and/or sulfur! One of my friends had a cross with Jesus on it. I had it in my hand (b/c I was Christian at the time) and jesus grew horns and got off and screamed at me! We all were scared shitless! After staying up all night and praying and holding the bible, it finally went away. The playing cards went straight out side in the dumpster and that was the end of that! lol!
