PaganSpace.net The Social Network for the Occult Community

I don't think we've explored this topic, and it's one of wonderment I must say so myself!

I had the pleasure of meeting a Dianic Blood Mysteries Priestess a few years ago, and she had a lot of great ideologies, but it scared off most of the Pagan women.

I found that to be quite odd, to be honest.

She wanted to lead workshops that entailed women bleeding into the ground during their cycle, and finger painting with menses blood.

I didn't realize Pagan women were so squimish! It also led to a battery of mini-dramas, gossip and the eventual demise of the group. Most of the women, thought this woman was a lunatic. I thought she was really on to something, with how woman view their bodies, natural cycles and how that ties into women's mysteries. I think it tied into the Vagina Monologues quite well. I'm a Vagina Warrior, and I have the t-shirt to prove it! I love wearing it, it's black with neon-pink writing that says 'VAGINA warrior', though most people focus on the word Vagina that is written across my breasts...lol

I did participate in a workshop, not related to the group, that focused on a woman's body, and things like menstruation, menopause, and the changes it goes through in the Golden Years. Men were invited, and it was a lovely group of concerned, and open-minded men. They voiced genuine concerns about ovarian and breast cancer, and lot's of giggles about going to the drug store to buy feminine products.

I wonder, are there any Blood Priestesses among us?

Completely black, meaning even the whites are black?

Gotcha, yah that was helpful.

So what are your thoughts, do you believe there are any magical connections to children born with black eyes or is this simply a physiological condition?

Rather than 'Indigo Children' are they 'Onyx Children'????

I hate the bloating though.... i just feel blah sometimes and sometimes energetic but mostly tired.. or i tire easy

I usually wear skirts, because they are free-flowing, and non-binding. It helps to not feel so bloated. I think wearing the appropriate clothing helps a lot.

One thing that helps me with cramps & such is having sex the first couple of days. I think it makes a dramatic difference in the pain. With or without a partner..:)

I can say, from experience - if you are on birth control, it's a factor. I was in intense pain, and non-stop bleeding for nearly a year before they figured out what it was. All it takes is the wrong balance of hormones, and it causes all kinds of pains, bloating and discomforts.

Vaginal ultrasounds are no fun!

I'm not on birth control. I didn't like it not to mention the fact i was on my period for 4 months, except for 4 weeks out of the four months, when i was suppose to be on my period i wasn't. I ate alot bc i was never full. But as soon as i got off it my appeite went back to normal but my weight gain still continued.. i just need a work up...

Ok, yeah those are symptoms of hormone imbalance. Initially, my doctor tested me for pre-menopause, it's more common than we realize. Next, it was the hormone levels in my birth-control. That was the culprit. Since you are not on any, you might need to be. Birth control regulates periods, because of the hormones. I was placed on birth control as young as 9 years old. It was a little hysteria on my mother's part, but I did have terrible periods and it helped a bit to regulate them.

The symptoms of never-ending hunger pains, yeah - I remember those.
