Does this feel like the end of the world to anyone?

I've been watching a lot of the shows on the History channel and NGC that talk about the End of the World (insert dramatic tone here) and it got me thinking. Different cultures have been saying the end is coming in 2012 since forever.. The Mayans have that calendar.. And with all the wars and genocides that are going on along with how people are starting to act towards each other.. Really makes me wonder. Either it wasn't very well documented a hundred years ago or peoples consciences have really gone out of wack. Either way.. What's your view on things? I'm curious. :-)

the rest is just fear and change.....everything changes or dies...that's life....
but i can bet you a mint.....that there will be no grand glorious end to all things.......
not for several thousand years to come....

There was that guy who said Jesus was coming back in the 1830 something (I think) and when it didn't happen he said he miscalculated and that it was actually the following year.. everyone was Really disappointed. LOL Scientists are saying that if there is an end it will be a long ways from now.. by either the sun going out or a black hole or something. It's just nice to hear other peoples views on stuff like this. :-); ▶ Reply to This

Here's one: how about the fact that if we don't do something about some very serious and grim impending environmental issues very soon, the black hole will show up to an empty audience?

I think the world will come to and end....but as in the end of civilization as we know it. There have been abrupt civilizations in the past that have completely changed how people worked, interacted, and lived with each other. I think that will happen again as well.

Look at the Greeks and Romans.. They built all though beautiful buildings.. They had so much culture and they kinda just *poof*.. And the Native Americans (I'm waiting for them to retaliate and I personally think they have a right as long as it's not violent...) and the Mayans.. Like I said... Just curious. Unless like you said, someone gets trigger happy. And if we can get greed out of our vocabulary.
