Is it possible to be a "Satanic Witch"?

On one of the recent posts, one of the members made the statement that she is a "Satanic Witch". As a Witch myself, I find these terms to be completely contradictory. Witches do not even believe in "Satan", and if such a creature did exist (not counting the thoughtform created and reinforced by centuries of fear), we certainly wouldn't worship him. I admit that I am not well-versed in the beliefs and practices of Satanists, so I invite polite discussion on how the very concept of "Satan" as is culturally accepted could ever be in any way, shape or form compatible with the Goddess Path.

I do have a question for you. Why would you make such an absolute statement about Witchcraft being a Goddess Path? Doesn't that alienate the diverse number of practitioners of Witchery? What of the magician that denies the existence of deity all together, are you claiming that they can not be practitioners of witchcraft?

What philosophy do you embrace?

When I speak of being a Witch, I am not referring to practitioners of Folk Magic, which requires no belief in any particular deity; but neither am I limiting that term to followers of any particular branch of Wicca. I use the term "Goddess Path" to refer to those who choose to align themselves with the rede, "An it harm none, do what you will".

Witchcraft is all inclusive, it includes folk magic, as well as a vast number of practices. Its a generalized term to describe a practitioner of magic.

The Rede attempts to apply ethics and guilt to witchcraft. Even when practicing magic in self defense, you can not 'harm none'. Its similar to original sin, you are in a constant state of checks and balances.

I am the Adversary/Opposer to anything I don't hold true in my heart.
I am a practitioner of witchery (though our definitions of that may differ)

Hence, I am a Satanic Witch.

You else no witch , definitly not satan, and you just backbite. Sorry- you can be a student or Master of satanic practise, but never satan himself. To be a opposer is not satanic !
