NObobody was pointing a finger! NO reason to get all bent out of shape! It was a question and this is a discussion,do you understand that? You can participate or not.you decide, nio one is coping an attitude, but you. the rest of us want to participate in the discussion.
K........I will! thanks!
I just came to that conclusion too. thanks!
If we are going to use "Google" as an authority on "christian witch (es)" and christo-pagan(s)" ...
Why don't we see what Wikipedia (also a great authority says on "Christian views on magic"?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Christian views on witchcraft)

"Christian views on magic vary widely across denominational and individual barriers, and are often influenced by Biblical, theological, and historical considerations. Some Christians actively condemn any form of magick as Satanic while others simply dismiss it as superstition; yet some subsets actively embrace is, such as Wiccan Christians, White Wiccans of Christ, and Church of the Holy Light."

(Off Topic) Personally, I prefer a good book. I think we do our children a disservice by having them rely to much on the web for research. As David Suzuki said and I quote: "There is a glutz of information on the web and a lot of it is misinformation."

Reading is vast becoming a lost art of the children, aye? Too much and too many video games. they need to read more, like we did,I think too.Good point on the different ideas from Christian religion to Christian religion, they cant even agree within one denomination. For me,I can NOT wrap my head around "A Christian witch",however if someone says they are one, then so be it. i think the bible is pretty clear on its stand on magick, fortune telling, visions, dreams, etc all magical work, though in fact, they did ALL thise things and more all along. so from that point of view,on an INDIVIDUAL basis,I can see how one could be a Christian witch, though I cant believe it woulod be with the backing of a Church in Chrisedom.
The thing that saddens me about this topic is that invariably the Christo-Pagans that come to us, seeking guidance and acceptance, in turn get shunned because of their choice of pantheon.
Too often they are told that they can not be 'doing it right' yet they study the dominant pantheon of the day. One that has a proven record of providing guidance, assistance, and even sanctuary when needed (Sure they don't get it right all the time, and they were nasty to Pagans, but we're nasty right back).
I have met several Christian Witches, and most often I find their interpretation of Christianity exceeds most other Christians, and indeed a fair proportion of the Clergy. It's such a pity that they get sick of the onslaught of 'regular' Pagans, tired of defending their right to their path, and exhausted in their own self defence. Indeed they get the same response from their Churches too.
If we afforded them the same rights as we do most others, I am sure there would be more Christian Witches around to discuss this topic.
Wonderful point Sir Peter!! Exdcellent!! I help,i try to understand,I talk with them,I just dont get it,but i try to treat a "Chrustian witch" with respect too. What trouble you up to,my friend?
I believe it is possible to be a Pagan and believe in Jesus and his teachings or to be a witch and take guidance from the bible however I do not believe you can truly call yourself Christian and be a Pagan or a Witch. The beliefs are not in harmony with each other.

The problem with the topic of this discussion arises with the Basic Human Instinct to label and box ourselves so we belong somewhere. Why do we need to wear labels on our Spirituality? Is it because we feel insignificant?

There is only one or two variants on this as far as my research goes and that is Stregarian Witchcraft in Italy where the underlying beliefs are Catholic and the Baltic States.

Basically though you are whatever you choose to label yourself and it is entirely personal. Why do we need to make so much of it when it is ultimately an individual path we walk alone?

As for research.... it is best done in balance. We need to balance information from books, internet and people and not rely on just one. Never forget though that the best ideas come from within us.

It is a simple discussion! It is a question I had. It was not meant to cause strife or piss anyone off. I believed there would be lots opinions on the topic and it would be a good conversation on this venue.,nothing more,no one is passing judgement,no one us saying aye or nae, just trying to understand the concept of "Christian witch" for my own knowledge and understanding. Period. me,personally, I do not think it is possible, but if someone says they are, that is their choice. It seems too diabolically opposed arenas. I do agree the bible us a book of wisdom,in some areas.
You can not or should not assume us Irish Celtic witchs reject anyone.Isnt that a bit of reversse judgement? I have never been Catholic,so that doesnt hold any validity, sorry. Can you undrstand though, why some if us that have been Pagans forever, dont get this concept? Come one.No "Christian witch" flys into the church on her broom, does she? What do you think the average church going Catholic or Luthern would react to a person calling themselves a":Christian Witch"??
K.Thanks for explaining that!! Explain how it works.,.that's the part I dont get,if you would. I'd appreciate it because I know lots of us are wondering...........
Bravo Drangonfly. I agree with you. I don't understand the need to box ourselves in and thus try to box everyone else in as well.
