In ALL honesty, the concept of being a Christian witch is new to me,so I would like to ask then does the Christian Church welcome "Christian Witch?" I can accept that on an INDIVIDUAL basis, one is a Christian Witch(kinda?),but how does the church view this?

Being from a catholic family, I believe i can speak from there point of view..And the answer is a definitive no..As certain individuals including some Priest would accept any one belief's on a one on one basis. The majority of the congregation would at best look down upon you, some would even consider you in league with Satan ( My grandmother is one of those ).
Thanks J.I agree with you! No Christian Church from what i know is gonna welcome a good ole wirch in with open arms,so i must ask then, why would a witch still claim to be part of that Christian influence or want any part of it?
Oh Celticlassie, do you not understand that religion and belief is (or at least can be) *PERSONAL*, regardless of whether some institution accepts them or not? I am sure there are enough Christian Witches in the world to form their own church if they so desire... *lol*

Christianity is not only about churches. I am not sure but this sound quite "American". Finns often laugh at American Christians as they (the American Christian) understand that by being a good Christian is tantamount to being *SEEN* in church. Jesus, most Finnish Christians see the forest as their church, or so they state.
Oh Pav,I already said i came to this conclusion...remember.the church isd NOT going to welcome with open arms,"I'm a Christian Witch",in an individuals mind,I suppose they can be.
So who cares?

It seems to me that a lot of Christian churches in the States are all about fundamentalism, which has gone over into Pagan religions (American mentality?).

You were flung out of churches, Celticlassie, because you *AREN'T* a Christian Witch (well, not anymore *lol*). You are a Celtic Earth Witch and you announced this.

It would be interesting to see what'd happen if a true Christian Witch went into a church to see the response. This is also culture-specific as I am sure lots of Romanian (East) Orthodox churches are packed with them *lol*
ok you go and tell them your a Christian witch, like they would welcome you! HA! HA!
Try a Unitarian church next time.
Actually,I take bellydancing classes there! The Unitarian church is quite a ways off of mainstream Christian churchs. The support "alternative" religion, always have.
Still a Christian church, Celticlassie! I've heard that in some churches, even if you are Lutheran you will still burn in the pits of hell because you aren't (insert denomination/sect/cult). We have recently got this channel on telly called GOD tv or something. I watch it sometimes out of morbid curiosity as they have American preachers on it. These people belong in a funny farm *lol* Or maybe they already do and the television crew has just wandered in and done some filming *lol*

I often marvel at how people can be *REALLY* insane, irrational and utterly nuts. Unfortunately, when watching, I can't stop thinking how *dangerous* these people can potentially be, nor can I stop looking at the audience who seem to be lapping it up without question. Then I have my ethnologue hat on and begin seeing patterns in their preaching and the psychology they use. Very interesting...
I know that any christian church I ever went to would condemn it and say it is not possible and say witches are in league with satan, (the christian veiw of satan of course). It was even preached from the pulpit. If anyone would have walked in and announced they were a christian witch... WOW, I can just imagine the uproar! LOL And everyone would have set about trying to "save" them and turn them around to the "correct" veiwpoint. LOL

I can see that a few people could have been more accepting on an individual basis but even then, I bet they would have befriended them to try and "save" them. And honestly, as irritating as they are, for the most part, I think they act out of sincere concern and their own convictions. In other words, they mean well. LOL

I guess that's why I have a problem with people questioning other's spirituality (or what I percieve as people questioning other peoples spirituality). It's a product of my past, LOL. I am sure no one meant it to be condemning, it's just the way I took, which is really my problem! LOL

Have a great weekend!

Peace Lily
Very true Lily,
The christian bible has this to say about witches "You must not suffer a witch to live." that was written into the old testiment But something about that actually says "This was written in by an evil, hand. it is not original to the old testiment in the bible" Which begs to question. If I may quote a long time member of the local wiccans here in Texas.
"How much of that book can truly be trusted a book edited and over centuries rewritten to fit the agendas of popes and kings and governments. Even secret organisations that call themselves king makers?! Not a word of it is true!"
Actually that reference in the OT is talking about poison makers now witches. The genius that translated it says "witch" in place of the original word and not its been taking completely out of context for centuries.
