I am wondering, if you use a divination tool, what do you use and is there a tool that you can not use?

I say this because when I was younger I used runes and I now use mainly Tarot. I have a natural ability to manipulate energy and am getting ready to conduct an experiment with a pendulum. I don't think I can use this as a tool because I would not be able to trust the readings because I draw energy and use it for my readings.

For example, last night, I did a tarot reading for my husband. I drew his energy and surrounded the cards with it and then drew the cards. This reading was so acurate down to the miniscule detail.

I am planning on using the energy that I draw to actually swing the pendulum and see if I can manipulate the energy around it to make it move. Thus, knowing 100% that I can not use this tool.

So, pretty much out of honest curiosity, I want to know if there are others who can only use certain tools because of their natural abilities.

Divination is essentially the calling upon an ancient oracle to ask for guidance and spiritual nurturing. I feel that Tarot, Runes, Bones, Dowsing, skrying and so on are all different forms of divination, but expressions of the same knowledge, which is that energy can be gathered and used to restore balance and harmony. the 'tool' is merely a tool, a device or focal point to help give the user a visual point of reference, but in receipt of the knowledge that everything is energy and so are we, all we need is ourselves. I however, and many many many others, inclusing yourself, like the pyschodrama of usng tools such as Tarot and Runes. Kudos to your natural ability to gather energy using Tarot. I am a diviner myself, but i have tapped in to my true potential yet. Blessed Be.

I don't think the TOOL matters. It's the person wielding it and the energies drawn that matter.
Is there a tool I CAN'T use? Not that I know of...but everyday is a new day! LOL!
It's also not just wielding the tool, but interpreting what's received. I suspect everyone has one or two mediums of divination with which they feel more comfortable, but over time even those change. Or...that's been my experience.

I don't need tools, I just have a few gifts, pendulums I can move by will ala telekenisis so they dont work unless im finding lost objects.

the tool NOT to use is a OUIJA BOARD! they set up wins for the user and then it's payback time! WHICH IS NEVER GOOD!!!!

Use whatever you are comfortable with, it sounds like you already have an inborn gift aswell and don't need tools either

I can usually read objects simply by handling them, but as for divination methods I use Tarot for other people and runestones for myself. I've used pendulums in the past and they have worked nicely.

I will do several Tarot readings, and take their general meaning into consideration. If I don't like what they're telling me, I'll make some changes accordingly.
