Do you have a specific place for magical workings, ritual, meditation, recentering ,etc in your home? I have my "magick room"which is also my guest bedroom. I jjust redid it in Black velvet, and deep purple. I have my larger altar in there, but several smaller ones throughout my house. I can see the moon out the window, too. There is my staue of the warrior fey, earth from Culloden battlefield in Scotland,Eagle feather, water and fire,a picture of David and me and a seasonal flower. How about you?

Feel free to ADD pics,too!

Lass, your guest bedroom reminds me of my Great-Aunt’s guest bedroom. She communicated with the dead in the guest bedroom which she had painted all black.

Aw,NICE!! Its a very fun and magical place to me...When BWITCH,my best pal has stayed there, she hears a horse neighing...my warrior protector FINN is on a spirit steed. I do most my reading here too

You have a pretty house.

Its an ongoing project, always.David is at a tile clinic this afternoon to replace the kitchen tile.I'm always looking for new ideas, and cheap ways to decorate. I pick up lots of "stuff" on our travels....even use stonesd, feathers, pieces of wood I find....We rarely buy anything new for our home, big on Craigs list. my last 46 in TV was $35!

No, not really.  I don't meditate and I don't do magical workings often enough to dedicate a space to it.

I have my main shrine to my patron gods in my computer room.  I'd prefer it were in my front room as it used to be in my last apartment since I spend the majority of my time there.  But there is no room for it there and my cats use all the furniture that IS there as their personal highway and I don't like my shrine disturbed.  So it's in the back of the house.

There is a tiny shrine to the household gods in the kitchen.  The Lares and Penates are on shelves around the sink with patens in front of them.

That's pretty much it.

NICE!! I know what you mean about the cat. I have him and the jack russells,so I keep things high enough out of their way. Can you explain what the Lares and Penates are?

The Penates are the spirits of the ancestors who keep one's hearth and food pantry.

The Lares are the spirits of those who protect one's home, keepers of the gates so to speak.

I used to hang this in my kitchen along with the statues of the individual household gods, but this is now tucked away as I don't feel my house is my home, yet.

The time will be right when you know.....Thanks for sharing

Sadly I live in a small ass apartment, but I have an "alter" in my bedroom.

The alter is just an old set of drawers, but it's set up nice, and it's handy storage for supplies!

I've had an altar on a kitchen chair before! ALL about what you put into it.....
