Advice for removing a spiritual parasite?

Any chance you could define "spiritual parasite", and perhaps a bit about how you determined he has one?

I agree with Ravnfyr, to give any advise we need more of an undertstanding. Along with a definition of you your friend/coworker's 'parasite', could you go in to detail upon listing your friends symptoms? Is it just that he/she feels physically drained?

Of course I will echo the statements of those above as they were perfectly worded, more detail is key to truly being able to help...

However, in various forms of possession/attachment/parasitic spiritual situations... The usual case is either finding out the intention of the entity itself, providing it with what it needs, finding a way to banish it per say.... whether through use of a medium or divination tools. 

Of course, I always emphasize taking a real world approach before assuming it's anything spiritual, once all avenues of common problems have been exhausted then it can be properly treated it as such.

Also the beliefs of the individuals involved is a very important thing as well, doubt carries more weight and strength in magical energy then anything else. 

Though personally I recommend finding a person who is good at spirit/entity removal nearby or most preferably someone who engages in spirit consumption when dealing with parasitic/harmful beings, though it is a fairly uncommon practice these days.

Worse come to worse, I suppose a ritual could be written for this particular situation, though not as effective as aforementioned, it could be the only practical option available.

Okay without further info it is difficult to advise specifics, but before you try again to dislodge the parasite make sure that you and those within your circle are protected from psychic attack. The issue here is once detached, where is it going to go?  Generally speaking to the nearest source of energy – person or pet that is unprotected

I’m a new poster here and don’t want to teach granny to suck eggs, you probably already know this, but if not to protect yourself from psychic attack you need to try to keep healthy, drink plenty of water, avoid addictive substances (addiction attracts parasites, perhaps because the host is less aware of the attack), if you use protective colours, symbols and crystals in ritual carry these on you all the time- also pagan symbols and colours can be used on pet collars and perform a protection egg, shower or grounding daily.

The egg is the shut your eyes and place yourself in a bubble of light, the shower is imagine light cascading from the top of your head to your toes and can be done in the shower (which is what I do) and grounding walking bare foot on earth, stretching and then placing your hands down – which most pets already do, so of benefit to them too.

Once you are protected and your circle, instruct your friend in self-protection and s/he will gradually become a less agreeable food source and it is likely that the parasite will drop off by its own accord
