Are rital trappings ment to guide us to not need them?

I have lots of ritual tools I don't use anymore and I haven't cast a spell in years. It seems to me that most of my practice is energy manipulation. Do you agriee that energy manipulation is the end goal of magical practices?

I would say whatever works for you is the right thing to do.

Why not?

I agree with your statement about ritual tools, with enough practice and wisdom you may just not need them anymore.
