Are they both the same story told differently? Sigourney Weaver vs. Powers Booth? Correct me if I'm wrong, the love interest in Avatar is Nachiri and the love interest in Emerald Forest is Kachiri.
In my eyes, the difference is that Emerald Forest is based on a true story. Avatar is fantasy (albeit very good) and shows off animation technology.
