Happy Beltane.. For those who do celebrate it.. The only aspect I ackowledge of this holy day is when The Milesain celtic came to Scottland around about this day and not long after did the Tuathe De Danann Went into the Hollow Hills. So Take time and breath in the summer.
SUGGESTIONS
Make a garland or wreath of freshly picked flowers and wear it in your hair. Usually Daisy is common to do for today if any are near.
Build a Beltane fire: leap over it to cleanse yourself, or state your desires and let the fire carry them upward
Make a flower feast! Freeze edible flowers in your ice cubes. Add edible flowers to your salad. Candy flowers to decorate your dessert.
Light a fire or candle on the top of a hill and make a wish as you jump over it (for authenticity, you can try this sky clad, it would also be amusing for any passing late-night dog walkers!)
Perfume your house with delicate scent of woodruff, a tiny, star-like flower that blooms around this time in the Northern Hemisphere.
Embrace the ones you love. Hugs and kisses all around.

Permalink Reply by Kris Hughes on April 30, 2012 at 10:35pm I sure do celebrate Beltaine! Although, I'm a bit short on buddies to celebrate with this year, so I'll mainly be celebrating it in my heart. Maybe I'll look around the pastures in the morning and see if there are a few little flowers.
I have had a lot of trouble with the summer heat the past couple of years. Accepting it, coping with it, etc. I do believe in a sun God called Bel and I'm hoping that my growing connection with him will help me get past this issue.
