The movie The Skeleton Key has a body switch scene not to disclose the clue for those who have not seen it but maybe you can watch that on Youtube.
Turn around three times and spit into the fire.
Can we just take a minute to reflect upon how creepy "Freaky Friday" really is? Think about it...
It is possible to energetically 'feel' into the body of another as though it were your own. Though this can be perceived as invasive if the one being 'felt into' is not receptive.
If two individuals are deeply intimate with one another, it becomes easier to merge energetically in a way that to feel each other's bodily sensations becomes possible.
Either profound forms of love, or sheer psychic ability tend to be the gateways that enable such.
If one is not careful, however, it can also be a doorway for what may be termed, "psychic rape."
Fortunately, few know how to open the door into themselves for others to come in, or that by which they may travel into others.
Although these things do exist - and whether believed or disbelieved, such needn't be particularly relevant. Only when these matters can be known in direct, personal experience can such become meaningful.
For the average Joe or Jane, it'll likely take years of meditation to even begin to understand the basics of what one's own energy feels like beyond bodily form, or how such can be projected to affect or experience potentials beyond the personal body.
One way to begin: Experiment by seeing if you can perceive the energy in your hands, keeping them completely still, not looking at them. Feel the life force energy of them. Next, see if you can interact with that energy, or choose for it in any way, however slight, to modify according to your will.
Although this minor exercise is within reach of most, and can get one on their way to higher level endeavors, it is still many levels off from being able to completely re-situate one's energy-consciousness into another being. But it is a start... Most undertakings becomes possible with enough practice. Though understand that decades of devotion may not be enough in many cases.
Bending a spoon with will of thought alone would be yet easier for most.
Magick like this doesn't exist and if you attempted it, it would probably have disastrous results. Not because it did not 'work', but because you could end up mentally ill. I have no desire to "swap bodies" with anyone.
The 21st century mind tends to think way too literally. Our ancestors were metaphoric thinkers which is the natural mode for humans. I haven’t seen anyone do a swap, but you can step into someone else’s body with a little open empathy. Animals are a little harder unless you’re very familiar with them. My youngest daughter grew up with cats and spent a year as a cat, which made for interesting interactions with her ballet teacher particularly when she answered questions with a realistic meow.
Wait, I was wrong; I have seen swapping. My two oldest a boy and girl are very close in age, and they swapped personalities and clothes for a day. It was most impressive as they did each other to a tee. Or, maybe it was more than acting--you never know.
"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view . . . until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."
—Atticus Finch, To Kill A Mockingbird (Harper Lee).
