PaganSpace.net The Social Network for the Occult Community

Hello everyone! Thanks for reading. :D I moved to Central Florida from the Bay Area about a year and a half ago. I have met some wonderful Pagans that I am blessed to call my dear friends through the Meetup.com group W.O.W (West Orlando Witches), but I would love to meet some new people. Are there any on here in my area?

You called sweetie? I live in Sumter County now and for the past 27 years, but I did live in Orlando off of Jon Young Parkway for a bit after moving from Winter Park. Before that I lived in up near the Alabama and Florida Line on my farm were my father was born.

Either way I have lived in this same area for 27 years and still go to and from Orlando and Tampa Bay all the time. Next time I am in the area, I can PM you and maybe we can have lunch.

Blessings,

~Tea~

Still hoping to meet some people local to me!!

I'm fairly close by, though many folks don't consider me a pagan.

Even I'd say I only barely fit the requirements.

Nice to meet you all the same! :D Why do you only barely fit the requirements? I wasn't aware of any requirements... >_> (:P)

My religion explained in lyrical form:

My religion is Science, this is show and tell/

I Acknowledge Ancestors back to a single cell/

All of man is by brother as well/

A tree traced with artifacts, bones, and shells.

My religion is what I call Ancestral Acknowledgement, like ancestor worship(which is considered Paganism), but with out the worship. I don't see the point in worshiping my ancestors, my existence isn't some divine gift, they passed along their genetics because of the natural law of survival. Occasionally I use to pour alcohol out in our hono(u)r(a symbolic way of acknowledging the beauty of nature and history) but have been doing so for other reasons as of late. I also believe there is some higher power, I simply don't think any person could ever grasp it, and I don't attempt to explain it or personify it. Why try and ascribe human traits to something so far beyond us. I look at it like I'm Han Solo and it's the force; I know it exists, I don't understand it, and I don't care.

Many on this site would say I'm not a pagan, then again those folks usually believe some bull shit I could disprove through my beloved Science.

I like that! Very well done. :D

Thanks.
