Comment, Inbox & Profile View Errors 6/14/09

Hi All,

Just a heads up that the site is experiencing some issues and glitches that will hopefully be resolved within the next day or so.

Comment walls seem to be disappearing > the good news is that the glitch seems to come and go and your comments are not lost. Try refreshing your page if you experience this issue. If that does not work then please know that it's a temporary issue and they do return.

Inbox not showing messages: If you open your inbox and it does not display your messages then click on the link next to your inbox that says (1 new) and you should see the messages. If you have clicked on the new messages link and they do not appear then try clicking on the inbox link. My mail has been doing this as well but when I click on the new message link it shows up.

Profile pages receiving a green screen error: This has been an ongoing issue now for months and Ning is aware of the problem but has yet resolved it. If you receive the green screen simply go back to the original page and try again. Unfortunately, there is not much I can do about this until the network resolves whatever is causing it. I have noticed that it appears to happen more often with older profiles than with newer ones.

I hope this helps a bit and my apologies for the site annoyances,they should be resolved shortly.

I only found out about it when I got a message saying that somebody called Saoir Ban! (who doesn't seem to exist here now) had commented on "my" photos - I knew I hadn't posted any photos! I've since deleted the sex ads/photos and changed my password. Maybe someone trying to hack the site is causing the problems???; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Light on July 5, 2009 at 9:21am: I am experiencing several glitches at the moment...the main one is that each time I "Sign" out of PaganSpace, it does not acknowledge that fact...so I have to go to the 'empty cache, clear cookies and history' action. That way I can be assured it is "signed" out...BUT the biggest bug bearer is that EVERYTIME I attempt to sign in it NEVER recognises me, and so I have to request a Password reset.
Once that is in motion then I can sign in....that is until I leave PaganSpace...which of course requires the whole above to be repeated.etc etc etc
The other thing I am finding is that when I get sent a message from a "Friend" - I am unable to reply back. The window for the reply appears, and the mesage can be typed, but when I go to send...it just stares at me like advertizing board that has no place to go.
I have tried to respond to the person on their own sites...but the same thing happens...and so I am left feeling very rude about not replying....but there is no other way to make that contact.
Other than that so far everything else is fun and incredibly stimulating...I love getting into the meat of some discussions posted, and the Chat is always full of interesting Spectrums..

Permalink Reply by Starrfire Price on July 5, 2009 at 9:31am: I'm sorry about this issue with the sign out; that has been a long ongoing issue with numerous members; that's never been fixed by the network (although I believe it has to do with their cache time). On the message reply issue, try clicking reply and then refreshing the page (ctrl f5 for full refresh); a lot of times refreshing will work for these issues.

Thanks for the info and I'm sorry you're having problems with the site. The past few months there's been a lot of ticks that just don't seem to get resolved by the network and it's really frustrating for me because the members have to deal with these constant issues... :-| Hopefully, the refresh will work but if not, message me and we'll see if support can get it resolved for you :-); ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Light on July 5, 2009 at 9:27am: Ohhh and forgot to add this as well, just reminded by the fact that when I send a Post...(as just done)...and I am proof reading it the "15 minutes left to edit your comment" does NOT function, so all my mistakes, grammar errors etc are locked in.... That can sometimes leave me cringing when I see a big booobboo!!!
