What exactly are the differences between wicca and paganism? Its something that ive found hard to find a basic answer for.
As ive only started, I find many many similars, but hardly any differences, so im confused.
Any help would be greatly appericated!

Wicca is a form of paganism, so there is no difference, as this would suggest that Wicca is separate from paganism. Perhaps therein lies your confusion.
In my eyes, there is no difference Nikita. Paganism is the house that Wicca sits in. I really hate using the "Paganism is the umbrella term for all non-Abrahamic religions, which Wicca is." Paganism is the general term, where as Wicca is a specific path.
Some people are confused (I had a Wiccan once tell me that "Paganism is like Wicca, except that paganism is WAY more strict!" Which makes me chuckle to myself in retrospective chagrin... since it's actually the other way around.)
Also, that person may have been expressing frustration that THEIR path is, in fact, completely different then Wicca.

Wiccans are pagans. Not all pagans are Wiccans. Paganism is an umbrella term that refers to: Wiccans, Druids, Hellenic pagans, Kemetic pagans, Thelemites, Satanists (yes, and I'm not going to argue about it), Voodun, and many many more paths as well as those of us who pull inspiration from those paths but don't follow just one of them.
You see "so many similarities" because alot of material today about paganism is influenced heavily by it's largest contingent, Wicca, but be warned that no one source can ever define paganism fully or describe it. IT's not a single path, but refers to many paths, often very different, Some atheistic (like Modern Satanism), some duotheistic (like Wicca) some polytheistic (like Hellenic or Kemetic paganism), some monotheistic, some agnostic, some pantheistic or panentheistic, some animistic (like Shinto) and almost any other number of possible perceptions of deity.
However, much modern pagan writing and discussion tends to ignore all us other pagans and focus mostly on the Wiccan worldview consisting of a universailist Goddess and God (universalist means seeing all gods as one and all goddesses as one, wheras the polytheistic view views all goddesses and gods as individual beings, so in true polytheism, you can't call upon "Kali-Hecate-Cerridwen" because instead of one wonderful crone goddess, you'd get three grumpy crone goddesses who might actually bicker with each other.)
Another thing that ads to the confusion is the term witchcraft that goes around the pagan community. Many Wiccans consider "Witchcraft" to be the name of their religion, while us other pagans consider "witchcraft" to be the name of a craft that is not a religious path. Since people use that word in different ways, it can cause confusion.
