PaganSpace.net The Social Network for the Occult Community

I see the so many different paths that are represented here on Pagan Space ,the diversities and it is amazing and inspiring to see,the opportunity to learn and grow from everyone. When I approve new members,I get a bit of an insight to this,as many say what their path is,some I have never heard of,which is exciting in itself...So feel free to post what your path is and share! We also have folks from ALL corners of the World here too, wide and diverse. I look at Pagan Space as a living encyclopedia!

INDEPENDENT WITCH - Self dedicated to the mysterious of the Goddess and God...A year and day later, after experiencing the complete turning of the Witch's Wheel of the Year, I performed a self-initiation, I became a Witch who's religious beliefs are those very much like Wicca, I just do things my way...I practice my craft with the nature around me and my incredible family that accepts my beliefs.  I respect covens but choose not to belong to one....I'm really not one to wear a label, I know who and what I am.  So feel free to call me what you want (be nice!) or place me in a catagory of your choice, I'll still be the Independent Witch I always was...

I'm all for Independent witches!! I approved one new person and he had the best name for his practice,I hope he posts it here......Covens have not appealed to me too much either, though i enjoy shared enery work at times. I hope someone posts here about Egyptology.SET-S?? I always enjoy her views

I am part of the Filianic Faith, which is a monotheastic religion, belief in One Goddess, though we the Filyani, or Filianists, prefer to say God, as Goddess tends to imply to some a position secondary to a supposed masculine god.

We believe in the Trinity, Mother, Daughter, and Absolute (tend not to say Crone), with the Mother as the Creatrix, the Daughter as the Preserver (also as Queen of Heaven), and the Absolute as the incomprehensible Mystery as well as the indrawn breath which takes the world back into Herself at the End of Time.

The Filianic Faith (as well as relating paths like Deanism and Madrianism) has its own set of Scriptures, a Catechism, Philosophy/Metaphysics, and even Archangels (The Janyati). This religion, as well as its relating paths, is still, I feel, in an embryonic phase (about 50 years old), though it is certainly going the right direction into becoming a full-blown religion (luckily within a century or two more).

Just adding also: I am supposedly a member of the Hestian Church, one of the few sects of Filianism, but at the same time I feel like I have no relationship with either the sect or its leaders, so for now I guess I would be more of an Independent Filianist, as I feel many of the Faith probably are.

I'm interested in finding out more about the beliefs of people who post on this site who don't seem to have any spirituality, nor do they believe in any metaphysical forces. At first I was very suprised to come across this on a site dedicated to paganism and occultism as it's something of a paradox at the very least.

So what do they believe and how do they think magic works, if they believe in magic at all?  I'm very curious, because to me an occultist by definition wants to study the hidden, but there doesn't seem to be anything 'occult' about what some people believe or do at all, so I'm mystified, at times.  Hope someone can enlighten me.

I think my way of Celtic Earth Witchery,my way  of using magick is much like that at times too......i am flexible in my "hows".....

Do you employ much visilization magick? i rarely "use" tools....

Thanks for sharing Dreaming River.some I am familiar with ,others not so much you mentioned, I primarily work with the darker Fey,the Irish Tuatha, but they are generally around me anyways. many spells they are not so interested in as others and dont offer their assistance and they ket me know! i have two resident br\ownies. one since i was 3 and another came in 2004,after a trying time.

I don't have a path (although I do like that term). I imagine I am going to confuse a mess load of people with what I am going to say.

I am a Deist who believes that plants and animals are our equal. I love nature and participate in a lot of outdoor activities. I guess that makes me a "Environmental Deist"? Does that count as a path? My grandma was a proud Scottish/Welsh lass so I always liked the Celtic world. So I appreciate the art and history of the Isles.

I believe every thing, plants and animals are in their own realm and way,not lower or higher than humans, just in their realm,as the Celtic knot,we are all connected ,continue and progress......

well said.

Aye,I see it as such......do you follow regenertion Amanthu? returning through ones own clan and/or family? I am my great 10X granny, say? My 10X back Granny Gordon cleaved a mans head in her kitchen at Huntly castle on the chopping block.....because he dared her.....
