To those of you who work with stones and crystals, do you have specific favorites?
For instance, I am always drawn to Selenite for it's gentle soothing qualities.
The happy, energetic feel of Citrine is always a joy for me.
I love the fiery power of Garnet.
And Amber is just an all around "feel good" stone for me.
How do you feel about certain stones and why? Do you have any uses for some stones that are "out of the norm" for that particular one?
I'd love to hear your stories.
Blessings

I know some that can't sleep if they forget to take it off. I personally love mine!
It can bring up hidden issues though that you'll have to deal with, which is good if you're trying to get rid of blocks.
some of my favs are also Nuumite, celestite, lemurian seed crystals, iolite, seraphenite, larimar, and then I have quartz with great stuff like record keepers, windows, and time links that are wonderful to work with.
I am always drawn to blue crystals from Turquoise to Blue Agates. I believe it's because my element is water. But I am also always attracted to Amethyst Crystals too, because not only is purple my favorite color, but it always seems to soothe me when I'm in a blue mood.
I love most blue stones. They are soothing. But oddly enough, I don't get along with Turquoise. I don't know why. Especially since it's supposed to be one of my stones for my sign (sag). I like blue kyanite and Celestite.
And I think you're right about Amethyst. For me it's like Lavender. Always calming. Anything from anger to depression!
I have recently come across a blue kyanite point about 3/4 in. and had created a necklace with it surrounded by light blue and dark blue glass beads, many people always compliment it. It also seems to keep my anger in control when I wear it.
OOOH that sounds lovely!
I can't imagine why you would be so attracted to Amazonite, BJT! :-D Isn't that stone sacred to Diana?
Thanks for sharing.

I've used Cat's Eye, and a ruby once. Both to me are strangley empowering. I feel like if I have one of these stones, I can conquer anything.
Fool's Gold too peaks my interest. Not because it looks like gold, but because when it is smoothed out enough, it feel just makes me feel like nothing can go wrong.
All the stones you listed are very empowering stones. I'm not surprised you feel that way. Fool's gold, or Pyrite is often used to represent the God and brings power and prosperity in many spells. It is a "nothing can go wrong" stone. You seem to have very good instincts!
