I believe that we are connected because we cannot live without the each other.

We would die without the sun, water, air or the earth and they would die without us. It is up to us to take care of our earth so that it can take care of us. Forest fires, pollution, killing of trees, etc. It is so sad.

But the sun does live and with it the earth. The earth does live and with it the water and air. These are 'real' without our acknowledgment. They weren't a gift but a responsibility.

If we weren't here, the sun would still come up in the east and go down in the west, the seasons would come and go and with them life and death.. the grass would still grow, the flowers bloom, the trees would give shelter. The earth needs most other species except for humans.

They need the bees for pollination, the birds to keep the insects in line, the herbivores to keep the plant life under control, and the carnivores to make sure the herbivores don't over run the earth.

Humans have been the number one cause of many extinctions of both plant, insect, and animal life - they have upset the balance of nature.

Don't misunderstand, I love human beings.. well some anyway lol but we have a tendency to repeat history and not learn from our mistakes because we dominate the earth. The only recourse left to let humans know they have done harm, is the elements. The great landslides, avalanches, tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes.. these are occurring more frequently and with greater intensity as we destroy the earth, water, and air for our greater advancement.

What do we actually DO for the earth, for the elements that that we are arrogant enough to deem ourselves unexpendable?

May the Goddess and God bless all people no matter how stupid.

There is an Incredible Spiritual World that is around us, giving us clues of her existence. Every breath we take, every Sun rise, Moon rise we are fortunate enough to see. Every living entity that co-exists on our Earth making up the very life force we are all connected with. Some people have trouble seeing this connection, I am easily reminded whenever I go on a midnight run and hear all the insects chirping, the wind blowing, the gently waters swaying along the coastline. I see the lazily summer afternoons when things are still and taking a break, I hear the leaves being rustled by the winds coming to life and singing as the wind passes by. I feel the awesome power of a thunderstorm being unleashed in all it's fury as the rain strikes the Earth. I see the masses of people traveling by me oblivious to the things that are surrounding us, while wondering how did they lose the connection with our Earth? Yes, our Earth is very much alive and well, wanting us to come home to her, and remember a time, when our minds, hearts, and eyes were open, and everything was magickal with the bond we shared with her so long ago!

You're asking a Druid here lol, so...

The earth would not die without us. In fact, She did quite well without our presence for about four billion years. We, however, are up the proverbial creek if even one of Her life support systems fails, and if that happens we will have no one but ourselves to blame (unless a mile-wide asteroid strikes out of the blue).

Nature is as critical to our survival as our hearts and lungs.

This is a big issue for me. I totally believe we can make Mother Earth better. It is a shame of all the ravage she has taken. and she still is taking a beating. When will people wake up and see they are destroying their own back yard.

I am very connected with Mother Earth, I consider her a Goddess. She is to be worshipped and praised, if without her warmth, beauty, nature, and water we would not be here.

I am glad you posted this, it is time to awaken for it is getting very bad. Just the other day I found all kinds of plastic, cig butts, cans, and other garbage on the beach, Why would anyone want to destroy something so beautiful.

It is beyond my comprehension.

Blessings

I also feel very connceted with Mother Earth. We have to change our ways and teach our children and grand children the importance on taking care of our Earth. If we don't, she is going to die with us in it.

Our Earth is in grave danger: Ozone layer depletion; global warming; water, soil and air pollution; lakes, streams, rivers are drying out.

Here is an interesting artcle I found in the web. http://www.livescience.com/environment/070419_earth_timeline.html.

I was watching a short clip I caught about the Polar bears the other day and their coming of endangered species of extinction. I was in tears when I saw them swimming in the open water with hardly any icebergs floating in it. I seem to care more about Nature and its animals than some of the goofy people in this world nowadays!
