I believe that we are connected because we cannot live without the each other.

We would die without the sun, water, air or the earth and they would die without us. It is up to us to take care of our earth so that it can take care of us. Forest fires, pollution, killing of trees, etc. It is so sad.

I believe we are Connected to it, how ever unfortunate we are disconnected from it, Do to city living. I used to love going camping, and then some one on one side of the fence decided to ban fires in the forest. Now, Mind you From 1970 up to 1980 there was no problems. My Family and I would go up, thin some of the forest back to help prevent forest fires, and replace the wood we had burned for our camp fire. When we left the camp area it was spotless, raked and groomed for the next camper.
Now when I say thin, I mean Pruning the smaller trees back a bit to help it promote growth. I can only remember doing just that, Now I wonder WTF happened between 1980 when I last camped, and 1998 when I started going camping again? The Arizona forest is over grown, infested with bark Beatles, which Buy The F-ing way is killing our beautiful ponderosa pines. The stamping out of forest fires by nature that the Pine trees need to sprout new pine trees. and a whole shitin mess of other problems related with the Green peace Movement.
It must be those New York City Folk Comin in thinking they know what is best. I got A news flash for ya! Your Killing the Trees Not Man!
Now you get that plus the other grab assers who couldn't find their hole to save their lives come in Trash the forest, leave their Crap un buried, toilet paper strewn about the forest, beer bottles throughout every river that flows through Arizona, and well, Before I go camp some where I drop to my knees and tears are streaming down my face. I am filled with immense pain from whence I do not know? I pull out the same rake I have been using since I was 8yrs old, and the new Shovel And Trash bags, and start cleaning and clearing. As I hike I take a Trash bag with to pick up some one discarded water bottle.
I can say no more for it will turn to a Dread full fright of Obscenities.

Am a New Yorker Maximusstormcrow and I have a backyard with a beautiful garden with a few pine trees, flowers, etc. I need a place where I can just sit, look around me and enjoy the little bit of nature around me. I also keep lots of plants at home and love to keep my home clean and scented. It makes me feel at peace.

Its not about who you are because where you live. It's about who you are because of what you do.

Yup. Of course I believe we are connected to nature. I always find it funny the other way...that people have the illusionary belief that they are somehow separate from nature.

I believe in the beginning all was nothing, there was only a spark of divine conscious. From that spark, all creation arose spinning out of the center, spinning into being, spinning into the wheels of life. The universe is made from spinning wheels of energy, spinning stardust, giving birth to life.

Wheels upon wheels spinning threw space, solidifying into form, rotating on an axis, orbiting the sun.. revolving and evolving through time. The one in the many giving birth to life.

With a single white moon our shining blue planet spins in space. A planet made of earth, water, fire, and air. A planet of sound, light, beauty and the consciousness of life; an intricate web woven with exquisite balance. This blessed Earth, which is our home, is the great wheel from which our life arises. Generated from the heart of the divine spirit condensing into manifestation the one in the many; Father Sky and Mother Earth. Between them, the seven layers of manifestation form the rainbow bridge connecting Earth and Heaven. Stepping stones from matter to spirit connecting through our bodies as we connect to each other and to the endless web of life.

Speaking of wheels may sound strange to some but all forms of life are spinning wheels upon spinning wheels. Our planets not only rotate around the sun but rotate on an axis with our moon rotating around us (as do all planets and moons in the galaxy). We have the cycles of life and the rotating seasons. All life starts out as a circle in the form of cells, which through great advancement in science we now look at and can see are definitely round.. another wheel. Taking our body science further, blood corpuscles are round.. not to mention photons and electrons and the particles of matter.

I could go on but I know I've made my point. All life was formed by matter and energy and matter and energy were connected as one as life began and therefore all life is connect.

I know without the sun, water, air and earth WE as humans and all living creatures would die. I do not believe the sun, water, air and earth would die without us. Earth has a life cycle of her own; birth, growth, death, rebirth.. she would exist without us quite well, healthier even for we are her cancer. We are forever destroying, defiling, and taking from her without a thought as to her distress. Yes, we are all definitely and firmly connected with all which is all the more sad as we are killing off the most beauty part of ourselves.

"To be able to greet the sun
with the sounds
from all Nature
is a great blessing
and it helps us to remember
Who is the real provider
of all of our benefits.

We are nature. We're as much part of nature as any other living being, whether its a parasite, disease, or a tree. To me, it's not right for people to think they are a seperate entity from nature. We live on this planet and are part of it.

I believe we are definitely connected to nature and all of it's aspects, in that, everything is made of the basic building blocks. The atoms that comprise our physical bodies have been here a long time, and were part of something else before they became us. We are connected to all things in this manner. The energy that binds the atoms exists between all things, on different levels. Therefore, we are linked. By doing harm, we only harm ourselves.

i think connected is a cosmic understatement:)

I conflict hard with this statement. I am not saying that we are disconnected (however popular belief says we are above everything) but that our connection is wearing thin.

I say we can live without nature, that we can survive without nature. Though the life could be considered artificial and abnormal comparing to what has traditionally been experienced. Nature creates life, life is not about surviving, it is about ensuring and enforcing the connections we have with each other and everything around us. We, humanity, create our own way of life, enforcing the dependence on unnatural things such as culture and technology, making such concepts natural to ourselves.

Ha! Technical much? What I mean is that we (majority of humanity) are so far removed from the rest of the world that we figure that we are outside of the square, and that the problems which occur within this square can easily resolved by us creating efficient technologies, trying to revolutionize out technology to co-exist with nature. Though, the harder we try to further such a connection, the further we are from nature itself. If we wish to stop all of this crap that humanity has become recognized in creating, we must destroy the unnatural creations that we have given birth to. Problem is, the unnatural creations I refer to, many will not easily or willingly give up because it makes their lives comforting, which is one of the major causes of such global problems we face. Comfort.

People fear discomfort. That all negative situations, somehow we do not deserve. We (well democracy) feel we have the right to freedom, the right to live, the right not dissallow death (due to the fear/taboo surrounding it) but these rights are artificial, created by society for society and not for nature. From TV, Cars, big homes, anything that money or culture can offer, we deserve to feel safe and secure. But satisfying such desires is unnatural, it is an illusion and if we avoid such negative situations in our lives, we live very unbalanced lifestyles because of such beliefs and creations which cause so many problems. I strongly believe in balance, that for every positive= exact amount of negative, and if we do not deal with the negative, where do you think it all goes?

Though, as much as I love nature and all that comes with it, there is another prediction, intention or cycle that may be inevitably part of an entirely new cycle of evolution. What if we are the next phase in evolution? (sound like magneto from the Xmen movies lol...) What if, all of this, everything in nature, the abundance, the ability to control resources, what if it was all created in such a way so that we should use it as we are now? To transform the Earth into, not an 'unnatural' world, but a world where it is 'survival of the smartest', no longer is it the 'survival of the fittest' as traditionally acknowledged.

What if we are meant to cause such devastation in order to ensure that our species survives so that we can expand beyond the limits of Earth? Evolution began from the water as microbes, which, overtime these microbes evolved into things with abnormal limbs where they could then explore the world outside of the ocean. Then these creatures evolved wings from whence they could discover the skies and the lands beyond. What if it is just a radically new way of evolution? Our actions are influenced by nature...

We're not connected with nature, we're PART of nature. Despite our efforts to separate ourselves from the natural world, bottom line, we can't. The bigger point is this: not only is our ongoing destruction of our natural world having effects on our physical well-being, but our mental and psychic health as well. Many of our social problems can be traced to this artificial separation from the Source of our existence. Hopefully we'll learn before it's too late and the Earth decides She's better off without us...
