doing a ritual assignment involving an element i dont normally use, need feedback

I would have posted in fiesty witvhes, but not sure it belongs there

I attended a class last night on running ones altar and learning a bit of the alexandrain tradition. as i am interested in being more organized when i do my own private rituals

I was given an assignment last night to complete and am in the process of trying to work it out

the assignment is pick an element that is outside your comfort zone and set up a ritual based on that element. and give feedback after the ritual is completed.

Normally my element is earth or sometimes water... tonight i have to do fire and air. which i almost never use.

so well, here goes.. time to face the fear factor.... if anyone has any ideas tonight or can give me feedback before i do this . let me know

The Irish Goddess Brighid is a goddess of fire and air/inspiration, also healing springs but primarily one of fire and the inspiration of poetry. She combines both elements of fire and air very well. Always call the one not favored by you first. Makes them feel very special. Next as Sarah has stated you must have your ritual space, keeps them from wandering to places you would rather not have them. Then like she said, aquaint yourself with them. Above all do not show fear! They can since it. You are the the one in control. You alone can control them, they are at your bidding. was going to be a medic about ten years ago, was pregnant and forced to go into a firetraining smoke house against my will for training. after that i am quite afraid of it.. althought candles dont bother me. but that element is the one i would say doesnt like me.

candles tend to sputter out on me everytime i attempt to light them. so that is the one i facing head on.; ▶ Reply to This

Scared the c--p out of me, err until I saw what water could do not contained{why I suggested you keep them in a protected space as Sarah said} Funny I being a Cancer always thought water was compliant, MISTAKE! (welcome in all the directions?) not sure since this a fire/air ritual

give honor to pantheon of air(litany)
give honor to the pantheon of fire(litany)

ask to invoke the qualities of air and fire in my life
(justice spell)
offer the blade and the chalice
cakes and ale( spiced chocolate and coccoa) for this ritual
thank and dismiss the partipants of air and fire
thank and dismiss the elements of air and fire
