For the past few days I have suspected there was a spirit in my room, but last night had me convinced. As I was going to sleep I blacked out for a few moments and heard sounds similar to slurping liquid through a straw. Then I felt weakened and light headed, and I was kinda twitchy. I felt emotionally wrecked. When I closed my eyes I saw I figure dashing around my thoughts. And periodically today I've been feeling emotionally wrecked, off and on. What should I do? I certainly don't want to deal with this every night.
BTW I have nothing special like wands and sages and pentacles in my house.
I've dealt with such things. We're in a time of great change right now. There are things that have gathered to feed, find our vulnerabilities. Here's how I've dealt with it:
1. Dark moon ritual, create a quatrain banishing spell. Place the spell in a white candle to shine light. Shadows cannot exist in light.
2. Look for areas in your life in which you feel you may have attracted dark things. Dealing with it is great, but you'll want to find the source.
3. Lay a line of salt across doorways and windowsills, always creating a protective pentacle.
4. Water. A shower (not a bath) is the universal cleanser. Let the water pour over your crown chakra, imagine all negativity washing through you, down you. Feel it leave you, to be washed down the drain. Thank Gaia for cleansing it.
5. Create a protective circle around your bed, just as you would anywhere else.
6. Remember that tools don't matter. They're just tools. Our power is contained within our intention!
Tecopolis ... i noticed 5 days ago you posted asking about "spirit wolf summonings" tagged - demon spirit summon wolf ..... so the question maybe is are you being attacked or did you summon this "entity" or maybe both .... i'm not trying to hassle you ... do what you will......
that being said have you had a dull pain at the base of your neck??? it is one of the common places for a spirit to "latch on" so to speak
i suggest get yourself some salt a white candle (tealights will do) and a mirror ...clean the mirror with lemon juice or vinegar .... have a shower like your getting ready to go out ... go into your room close the door (looking at the door as you do this is your business) if you have a window open it .... (show the spirit "the door") light the candle in front of the mirror (any negativity sent to you is "returned to sender" but with no anger on your part more you can keep that to yourself thankyou very much) walking or turning anti clockwise sprinkle salt around the room throw a little out the window if you want .... now go out .... (you probably want to put out the candle ) close the door again looking at it but leave the window open even a little if possible .... then get out of the house for a couple of hours go for a walk see a movie whatever you want .... when you get home if not clean your room at least vacuum it ......
basically during the whole process your motivation is "look no offence or anything i think we should see other people" ....if you don't have a candle use a torch or just the light in your room i'm imagining you have salt (you could even add some pepper come to think of it) as for the mirror a picture frame with black paper (behind glass) ....
We performed a cleansing ritual after having a particularly bad time with a presence that was plaguing us..More or less to make the kids a bit more comfortable with sleeping in the area that these things were occurring. It seemed to have done the trick..We have another presence that inhabits our hallway, strangely enough, that takes the form of a small child. This one isn't a threat or a menace in any way and my husband believes it may be connected to me somehow. Many years ago, I lost a baby. A boy. I believe it is more residual then anything. I hope you find something that works for your problem and also you have to consider that it may not be a spirit at all. Not to disagree with you, but I have found when things like this happen you need to consider all possibilities..Stress can make you feel like this as well..Good Luck!
Treat for physical and psychological problems before jumping right into supernatural solutions. Lay off the junk food, go outside in the sun light for a while, take a multivitamin for a few days, don't spend too much time on the internet, get some exercise and go to bed at a reasonable time. Do this for a few days to a week and if you still have problems then go see a Doctor. The supernatural should not be your first assumption, always rule out phyiscal problems first.

You could use crystals, and even wear one like a talisman. You could get some healing like Reik or something of the like to get your energy balanced and flowing properly. I've read that this sort of thing can happen easier if there are wholes in the aura, or an imbalance of a sort. You can grid your room, or even your bed. I would grid the whole house.
Oh jeez.. Didn't know I would get a bunch of different things to try.
@crowbeard: I have not summoned one yet, since I still don't know how yet.
@Poisoned Spoon: The night I was attacked I had stayed up till 2AM for the 3rd time, but I usually don't get stuff like this when I do that. (I spent half the summer staying up till 4AM last year)
Well I was told to put salt around my bed and energize it to me, and I haven't been attacked since. But that doesn't mean the spirit is gone. It might still be there, pissed at the protective circle.
