Something I just had to say that frustrates me a lot is the prejudice many people seem to have against Muslims-Just because a small radical group does crazy shit does not mean that all Muslims are bad people. In fact, in the Koran it preaches tolerance for other religions and states that jihads should be used for defensive purposes only. You cannot judge a whole population and label them due to the radical actions of a small portion of that population. I don't feel I worded that well but hopefully I got my point across and others will understand what I am trying to say.

Ashtyn- I am much less concerned the major at Fort Hood was a Muslim than knowing he was a psychiatrist and trained in psychiatry in the Army...meaning he was in the company of psychiatrists all the time? Hello!!! Who was asleep at the switch?

It still does not make this new and growing form of racism right. I can understand why people feel this way-after 911 and everything but that is no excuse for slandering and being prejudiced against an entire group of people.

I completely agree...I was just explaining why this event did not fuel any anti-Muslim sentiment in me.

Its not really racism. Islam is a belief just like Judaism. DNA tests confirm Jews and Muslims are the same people (race) of different beliefs (religion). Just like being Christian doesn't make you a race. I have all the rights in the world to dislike any of these religions by the way, and I do. I hate any religion who would wait so gleefully for the Armageddon and all the death and suffering that supposed to come at the end time then praise God for it.

Call me crazy but I think the idea of hoping people go to hell and get punished for all eternity is a sick and twisted idea. And they do this quite openly.

that is no excuse for slandering and being prejudiced against an entire group of people.

There is an excuse. If the good Muslims don't outwardly speak against the small group of extremists then they are just as guilty for its existence and Christians are for TV evangelism the crusades, and the inquisition. The moderate Muslims have to stop being so moderate and speak against those people and be as public.

The Quran just like the bible is a fabrication which contradicts itself. Both are equally barbaric in its treatment of woman and children.

Trust me if it were idiot Pagans out there making an ass of my belief I'd be talking and I do. I'm not afraid of calling a spade a spade. I don't care what your religion is.

It is not Racism to dispute an idea or the followers and practitioners of that idea.

I do not think you would be using the race card if this was about Jim Jones who was the founder and leader of the Peoples Temple, which is best known for the November 18, 1978 death of more than 900 Temple members in Jonestown, Guyana along with the deaths of nine other people at a nearby airstrip and in Georgetown.

It is not racism to distrust an idea that seeks to put in place Sharia Law and death to all infidels (non-believers such as you)

The problem is that the Muslims who do follow the Koran don't make the news. And, as we all know, if it is important, its on Fox News.

lol fox news

Yes the strict followers of the Koran are the ones that make the news. It is the mistaken belief in the Western World that the Koran is based upon principles that mirror our own concerning truth, justice and life. Mohamed did not and Islam DOES NOT.

Fox News is nothing but lies and propaganda, unfortunately.

and even more unfortunately, other news media as well.. ex. NBC

quite true...profiling an entire group based on the actions of the few is ridiculous...it happens in all races...sexual orientations...and religions as well...i mean lets face it pagans are constantly stereotyped as demonic satan worshipping animal slaughtering baby eating wicked creatures....

I, for one, take special umbrage at being assumed "demonic" ;-)
