How do you deal with unsolicited visitors with a religious agenda?

Often times, when least expected there is a ring at the door...The visitor is sharply dressed and offers to talk to you about their religious experiences...How do you deal with that?....Do you let them in and have an intelligent discussion over tea?....Do you slam the door and say take your dogma someplace else?...Most people are familiar with the Jehovahs Witnesses and the Mormons comming by...I would like to hear your experience and how you deal with it....Is it a problem in your area?...Do you welcome it?..or Do you scoff at them?....I would love to hear from you and your experiences...then I will share how I deal with it....In Light and Love...Mykhal

Oh i get those annoying people all the time come knocking on my doors. Everytime when they do, i open the door and i do not even let them speak i tell them that i am NOT interested and that i am a witch. I tell them to please stop coming by because i am so not interested and i slam the door shut.I tell them straight up, i am not interested period so go somewhere else and go enlighten someone else with your bs.
One time this spanish woman call me a "pinche bruja" after i made it clear to her i was a witch and i do not follow her religion path and i really thought it was funny how she said it to me LOL

pinche bruja? my Español is a little rusty. but that's slightly more offensive than 'Worthless witch' yes? What beautiful words from a Christian, you should have asked her. "Honey, you talk to your god with that mouth?"

Before I invite them in, I let them know that while I'm interested in hearing their take on religion, I'm not interested in changing mine, and even less interested in being judged. I tell them if they come in they'd better be prepared for intelligent discussion and some truths they may not care for because I was raised in Christianity and know what I'm talking about. So far, no one's made it past that point. ;)

I was forced to go to a christian school by my parents who didn't like what I did. I had Christianity stuffed down my throat on a daily basis. Sad fact is I know more about the bible than 90% of the Christians of the world. I was forced to memorize scriptures and go to church at least 1 time a month aside from my school being a church itself.

If there is one thing that really disturbs me is the ability for these religiously charged zealots to break their own rules. To kill in the name of the lord. Jehovah's Witnesses are annoying by fairly harmless.

To Aysel Draffin I made it clear before I invited them in that I was not gonna convert and told them a few of my views on religion in general. But I knew little about what exactly it was they believed so I was interested in at least learning. My belief is there is always something to learn. Even if nothing more than a different way of seeing things. So I welcome any type of healthy debate. I make it a habit to challenge my own views, its a way to validate my beliefs or to update them.

Gary - Jehovah's Witnesses "fairly harmless" HA! Thats what they want you to think! They are a mind controlling cult!

A great conversation starter would be how they are dealing with their most infamous member, Michael Jackson...I believe silentlambs.org (a group exposing widespread Child abuse in the cult) has said they are being very silent on this. Now tell me, wouldn't anyone with his lifestyle been found guilty of some disfellowshipping offence?

How MNAY even know Michael was brought up JW????

Michael Jackson was disfellowshipped once, the question is did they accept him back. And why didn't they make an example of him?
