While purchasing a carton of Marlboro's I asked the clerk if he had any clove cigarettes a few days ago. He told me that they had been outlawed, and that by November 1st that all flavored cigarettes and flavored rolling papers and cigar wraps would be outlawed. I was in disbelief...Is there any validity to this? I do not have time to do the research required to find the answer, as I would much rather concentrate on the things I need and want to do in this life. And that is, spend time with people while furthering my education and taking care of them.
This is the USA!! Thank you sooooo much Obama! Yes he signed this shit into law about a month ago....too bad for camal, they had all kinds of flavored ciggs. He said it was because the flavors appealed to children, whatever!!!
That is the reason you are F***ing kidding me! Anyways, thanks for the information. They want to legalize weed, yet they are outlawing flavored cigs? What is WRONG with this country? I don't even know anymore...
Yeah, too bad for Camel indeed. Used to be my cig of choice, but no longer, since I can't have my Izmer Stingers...at least I can have my Marlboro Red 100's as a back-up!
Pretty sure that the exact ones banned comes down to state, as clove cigs haven't been banned here in Calif, but some others are. I dunno, we can just put it in the box with the rest of the failed attempts at prohibition.
I read about that a long time ago - It's because tobacco companies wanted to make bubble gum flavored cigarettes/cigars (no lie) - yet they say they aren't marketing to kids. So, no more flavors at all. The thinking is that if the tobacco isn't flavored, younger kids won't try cigarettes or get addicted as easily. I don't know about that - I've never smoked, my son's father never smoked, but my son is now addicted.
I started smoking cigarettes at 17, marlboro lights to be exact, when I started doing more than a every now and again thing. I had only had one before, and it was a KOOL or something menthol that I did not enjoy as much. For me, it was the aroma, the flavor, the satisfaction, the buzz, and the relaxation I enjoyed...Now, it's just another bad habit and way of relieving stress. Although I still enjoy it.
