Illegal cigarettes? WTF?

While purchasing a carton of Marlboro's I asked the clerk if he had any clove cigarettes a few days ago. He told me that they had been outlawed, and that by November 1st that all flavored cigarettes and flavored rolling papers and cigar wraps would be outlawed. I was in disbelief...Is there any validity to this? I do not have time to do the research required to find the answer, as I would much rather concentrate on the things I need and want to do in this life. And that is, spend time with people while furthering my education and taking care of them.

What are your thoughts??

people who abuse children and other adults through second hand smoke need to be handled in their own right, not at the expense of adults who exercise free will.

the government should never be aloud to draw this type of line

Permalink Reply by Witchess on October 24, 2009 at 11:57am: i don't smoke cigs, but hubby used to for many years but quit in 1994. he doesn't regret it one bit nor does he miss smoking. personally i don't care if they ban em or not :P sorry but i hate the smell, and the effects from being exposed to it first hand also suck. my oldest sister and her husband smoke inside their house, and my nieces are always sick from the second hand smoke.

i was glad when they finally here in oregon put their foot down about smoking inside bars last year. it really sucks having your hubby play in bars and some of them did and didn't allow smoking inside and the ones where they did, you would come out smelling like an ashtray. YUK!!; ▶ Reply to This

Had to give it up for health reasons. Does anyone ask me if I mind if they smoke? No. Never. Nevermind that it could trigger an asthama attack in me that could possibly kill me. Never mind that the smell of cigarette smoke causes me to have severe migraines. Infringing on your rights? No, not at all. Wanna kill yourself with those things? Go right ahead. And do you really think that designated smoking areas are the only place people smoke? Give me a break! I cant go anywhere without people lighting up the damned things right in front of me! Hell, at work, the only way to exit the building is to walk right through the damned smoking area! I get so tired of hearing people complain that they are hurting no one but themselves. Think about all of the non-smokers who live in your house! Ride in your car! Walk on the sidewalk beside you! Do you really think that you live in a bubble, and no one else can get the effects of the poison you blow out of your mouth every few seconds? Puh-lease!!!!!
