Is there a block feature?

Is there a block feature where we can put certain posters on ignore? And if not can we get one?

I go to one site where they have one. I've never used it so can't tell what the result looks like but would you not find yourself only reading half of some conversations?

On another site I go to, if you ignore someone, all the threads they originate disappear from the site as far as you can see and their posts are blocked on every other thread. You can't even read their names, it just says something like "poster is on your ignore list" and gives you the option to unblock if you want to.

I wish some sites I go to had that option. Cuts out all the nasty comments by trolls who repeat typing the same thing over and over.

Pretty much. One website I was on showed everyone's post except for whoever was blocked however you could click "read post" if you chose to see it. I've been on sites where moderators begged people to use that feature.

I do understand what your saying I truly do, but I don't agree with you with great respect. But It makes me wondering that what is the point of being on a discussion board when you don't want to hear the opinions of others. I understand that you might want to block the "meanies" but I don't think an intellectual conversation can be fulfilling if you only see posts that are your opinion or opinions like yours. It just seems unbelievable to me.
