Remember CANDIDATE Barack Obama? The guy who “wasn’t going to take away our guns”?
Well, guess what?
Less than 100 days into his administration, he’s never met a gun he didn’t hate.
A week ago, Obama went to Mexico, whined about the United States, and bemoaned (before the whole world) the fact that he didn’t have the political power to take away our semi-automatics. Nevertheless, that didn’t keep him from pushing additional restrictions on American gun owners.
It’s called the Inter-American Convention Against Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials. To be sure, this imponderable title masks a really nasty piece of work.
First of all, when the treaty purports to ban the “illicit” manufacture of firearms, what does that mean?
1. “Illicit manufacturing” of firearms is defined as “assembly of firearms [or] ammunition … without a license….”

Gird your blogs, because if liberals in Congress get their way, President Obama will have sole discretionary authority to shut down the Internet or critical parts of the Internet should he feel his presidency is being tested. Worse, under the guise of cybersecurity, Obama will essentially be granted the power to destroy free speech on the web.
On April 1st of this year, Senators Rockefeller, Snowe, Bayh and Nelson introduced bills S. 773 and S.778, collectively called the Cybersecurity Act, which would give President Obama dictatorial power over the Internet during a time of national crisis or emergency.
All of the bills' sponsors voted for the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 that prohibited organizations and individuals from running advocacy ads against candidates 60 days in advance of a general election. Now it seems these same people have conjured up a gag order for the Internet.

U.S. troops are being trained to conduct round-ups, confiscate guns and shoot American citizens, including their own friends and family members, as part of a long-standing program to prepare for the declaration of martial law, according to a soldier who recently returned from Iraq.

Ad hominem attacks get you nowhere Rowan, especially because you haven't refuted what he said, only the content what you perceive to be his character. If you had called him on using a quote, or even better, if you had intellectually challenged the contents of the quote with sources, with your own arguments rather than a personal attack, you might have persuaded others to listen closer to your words.
From what I see here, you have set up a false dichotomy: either he listens to you and must be changed by your words, or he is unchanged and must be 'so in the bag for Obama' and cannot retain his own view of the situation.
Why can he not retain his viewpoint, disagree with yours and yet, remain who he is, whether or not he's an Obama supporter?

While any of this may or may not be propaganda or cutnpasteablility, I have noticed many spots with sold out ammunitions. Our local trading post is 1 of these with bare shelves. I think the target(s) for this move by the government should be the real criminals. The guys that carry automatics or semis to rob, kill or make a 'living' by killing. I do believe their actions are what has gotten the government's attention, and prompting them to act as if all guns of all people are to be outlawed and taken. Us everyday people that have them for protection, or collections should be exempt from any sort of mass gun collecting by big brother. As many have said: guns do not kill people, people kill people:)
I am for my right to keep and bear arms & against anyone that does want to make it impossible to protect me & mine. When or if marshal law is enforced, I won't be depending on anyone but myself & my husband to keep the peace on our property.

I saw that:) They had a tea party up in Richmond (VA), expected about 300 folks, about 4,000 showed up. Let's hope that there are more like some of us that are just not being vocal, I'd hate to be outnumbered by the weak, the 'Let's roll over & do what the government says.' crowd. That would surely be the demise of the US.
And now the race field has pretty much been leveled by having obama as president, the race card is obsolete imo.

Obama cant stand criticism, he was abandoned several times by his mother when he was a child, he wants to have complete control over the internet, he is trying to get the bill passed right now, to shut up every one that's bad mouthing him, he has the power to shut down TV and Radio already, all he needs now is the internet, and once he has his seven million man army ready, that are being hand picked,that will kill Americans, he will be able to attack us and we wont have any way to warn each other
I think hes a mad man and Congress should put a stop to it.
