Hello!
So, lately I have been scouring the internet for information on Missouri/St. Louis ley lines. Does anyone out there have any information on these places?
Also feel free to discuss ley lines :)
Thanks!

First off, no "Paranorm investigating team" has ever proven shit.
Can you post proof, or more accurately, what you view as proof?

Proof acupuncture is Bull Shit:

This is what Science looks like. A double blind, peer reviewed, medical paper.
Acupuncture is Bull Shit.
"Also our Mother Earth is a body with her own vortices and meridians and where there are blockages"
There is no evidence to support the Gaea theory. It is more likely that we are living upon a non-sentient rock that is hospitable enough for life to thrive.
"There doesn't seem to be evidential proof on this but just keep an open mind."
I have an open mind. I thrive on data. You have not provided any data, just unfounded hypothesis.
When some physicist said they disproved Einstein's work by speeding a neutrino past the speed of light, I was skeptical, but had an open mind.
They later admitted the test was flawed, loose cable, and that they were unable to speed the particle to FTL speeds.
I was as skeptical of the Higgs-Boson until I saw the data. I now accept it as a very plausible reality.
One must keep an open mind, meaning they evaluate new information. You have simply regurgitated pseudo-science that I have already fact-checked. Claims I know to be false, according to Science.

Sir, I am knowledgeable of holistic medicine.
St. Johns Wort, Marijuana, Ibogaine, Mushrooms, etc.
This has nothing to do with that.
The reason acupuncture "works" is placebo effect. Though, there is more to it.
If your ankle hurts, you don't notice as much because they are STABBING YOU WITH NEEDLES.
but mostly, it's clearly BS.
This isn't a study commissioned by Big Pharma, Who blocks drugs like Marijuana and Ibogaine.
This was a group of skeptical scientist putting a BS archaic practice down like a rabid dog.
There is no value, other than the placebo effect. You might as well eat a sugar cube.

Permalink Reply by Níos Sine Dia on September 1, 2012 at 10:41am We can tell cancer patients "You'll get better"
I do not deny the benefits of a positive outlook can help a patient, but only marginally.
Instead of continuing with this BS we should get people to subject themselves to the experimental alternatives.
They may help save lives further down the line.

If someone said "I feel like these sites have some sort of energy" I wouldn't be as much as a stickler, but when they're using pseudo-science and claiming it's science, and can be proved, THEN I have a problem.

Been studied. It's the reason that birds understand which way to migrate, which direction to their breeding grounds, and even up and down a bit.

This isn't magic, this is science. They went back and forth on this theory, but now the working model is proving to apply to many species, most probably our earlier ancestors. There is nothing occult about the study of electromagnetics, it's quite literally a science.

I'm quite familiar with Van Allen belt.
Voyager 1 is actually about to be the first man made object in outer space.
Soon it will no longer be in the heliosphere, and will start to study the background radiation of the universe itself.
The heliosphere deflects our universe's background radiation, all we could study thus far was the suns radiation.(most the particles in the Van Allen belt are from the sun, and are simply held in place by Earth's magnetic field.)
Permalink Reply by Níos Sine Dia on August 11, 2012 at 2:11pm There is no mystery of electromagnetism.
We understand and use the shit out of The Electromagnetic Spectrum.
There is nothing magic(k)al about cell phones, microwaves, satellites, etc.
There is no connection to dismiss. This science is beyond proven, not only do we use it in convenience and communication, we use it in physics, medicine, chemistry, etc.
There is no mystery, nothing hidden about this invisible field(hidden being the very definition of occult). We understand and utilize the fuck out of it.

The pseudo-science of Ley Lines has no place in science. The electromagnetic field the earth creates, which in turn creates the Van Allen Belt, is the opposite of magical. It is a sure science.
