How many of you have struggled with using magic against people who are trying to cause you or another family member or friend harm and chaos? And they are enjoying watching the misery they have caused? How does this effect ones karma if you do use magic to fight back against their destuctive ways? Also the Wiccan Law states "Do as you will, but harm none." (That becomes very difficult at times !) I was brought up with "never fight evil with evil, good always triumphs over evil." And "turn the other cheek" (Yeah ok whatever)

My explanation is an excerpt taken from a page on my website titled 'My Path'...

"...The above code of ethics is one that I try to follow on a personal level.

However...

I have a viewpoint on "karma" and "curses" and magick, both black and white, that is a bit different than most pagans/witches/wiccans that I've encountered.

I feel that keeping people in line with the fear of "karma" is much the same as Christianity keeping people in line with the threat of hell and eternal punishment. I don't buy into either idea.

I embrace magick-- both black and white-- with no qualms and no feelings of guilt. And why shouldn't I-- my very being is made up of both light and dark aspects.

I'm a very eclectic Witch-- I practice not only green witchcraft with some aspects of Wicca, but Hoodoo as well-- the good old fashioned "get your hands dirty" type of Louisiana "root work". If I feel threatened, "pushed", cornered, treated unfairly, or I feel that my family is threatened in any way, believe me...I will pull out all the stops and do some foot stompin' old black magick from the big black book."

I once heard somebody say "what goes around comes around, and sometimes YOU are what is coming around"

Relying on Karma to fix all your problems for you seems a bit lazy, almost along the lines of some of those weird christian sects who believe that you shouldn't treat disease because it will be cured if it is in God's plan.

The problem is how do you know when you are following the flow of Karma, or simply using it as an excuse to exact revenge, not justice but revenge?

What you need to consider is how to set the current situation right, how to make things right for those that have suffered and ensure that the one who caused the suffering does not repeat his/her actions. If you consider this with a clear and impartial mind you may find the answer, one that does not involve more suffering. Sure you want to get back at somebody, but will that actually fix things? Fixing things is your top priority.

I have Dorothy Morrisons book "Utterly Wicked" and it has what it claims to be are "money" spells of various kinds now i really needs lots of money at the moment and yes i mean need not want but need and i am wondering do they actually work and do they have any kind of negative effect on your karma as i don't need any more of that which is why i need money right now.

Has anyone ever used any of the spells in the book and have they worked? and what do you do if you can't get all of the items needed for the spell such as earth from a graveyard (we call them cemetery's here) you can't just walk into one and help yourself so what do you do?
