Search "Groups" here...a fine one available. Great place to start.
thank you this is helpful , think i'm being a bit naive but i thought morrigan and morgana were different?
really interested in this as she keeps appearing in my meditations!
I learned that the Morrigan was an Irish warrior goddess associated Nehed and Badb, who reveled in warfare and were known to appear in the guise of beautiful maidens, old women, and ravens or crows. Names respectively meaning Queen of Phantoms, Frenzy, and Crow. There's a legend that the Morrigan copulated with the Dagda over the river Boyne (i believe) as the Morrigan washed the blood from the clothes of soldiers fallen in a nearby battle. As to the Morrigan and Morgana being the same or different, I have no clue. I don't honor Morgana.
You do know your sites kinda down right now? I'd like to see it when its back up! :D
Ignore. Didn't read far enough.
Ok, so reading on the Morrigan on your site, it mentions Niet. I can absolutely find no info on him anywhere, though I did read that his sons were MacCeicht, MacCuill, and MacGrere. I've also read that those were the sons of Ogma. Any insight for me?
The Morrigan is NOT the same as Morgana.

Here is a website if you wish to know more about The Morrigan: http://www.morrigan.net/morrigan.htm

She is also not a Goddess for the weak of heart, mind, or will.
I very much agree with you, Miss Anne Thrope. She is my patroness, and it sometimes difficult, as she has a very strong personality. Anyway, here is a pretty good site that I just found, http://crone.info/ and gives a hint to the amount of confusion over her. I suggest trying to find the scholarly type books and articles, as those will often be the most accurate on the actual facts, without the confusion of "Morgan/Morrigan".
sorry I spelled the name wrong but this the same goddess I worship as one of the many faces of the goddess.
Not everyone views Godesses as "many faces of the goddess".
Btw, I love the play on words of your name.
