So, if you couldn't tell by the title, in a little under a month, a friend of mine is going to be getting married, in a norse ceremony.
he asked me if I would be willing to (along with a few other of his friends) give a blessing from the Gods, I chose to do one from Freyr, which seemed fitting, but for the life of me, I can't think of what to say.

for a gift if your friend is on a nordic path you could look on line for pagan decor and visit some sites and some have decor catagories like norse, egyptian, celtic, find one that does and look under norse. try looking on this website for norse gifts:

You don't say what you are studying at college, but if it is something in the arts department you could always create a picture with a norse theme and incorporate the names of the happy couple and the date of their wedding.
Permalink Reply by Nova on April 15, 2012 at 4:39pm I'm studying sociology, my artistic talents are on the level of drawing stick figures. Thanks though.
Permalink Reply by Nova on April 15, 2012 at 4:09pm The Godhi will be beseeching blessings from Odin, Frigga, Thor and Tyr specifically, and all the gods and goddessess in general.
As to why I chose Freyr, couples that live in harmony with each other are said to be blessed by Freyr, and I feel closer to Freyr than the other gods.
Thanks for your ideas.
