PaganSpace.net The Social Network for the Occult Community

So, the last several months I have encountered both negative and positive energies in my life.

I was injured on the job during my probation period and "resigned" along with purchasing a home.

Point.

Many items left unpacked due to my current limited abilities, have been calling me.

My favorite tarot deck when unpacked gave me a tingling sensation.  Did not expect it, but it happened.  The same with my wand and chalice and other items that have been tucked away.

I feel the sense of home again.

Not to be confused with feeling at home in the house just purchased.

There is a resonance that bonds me to these items.  A witch to her/his tools.  I believe we all possess this instinct.

Have you ever purchased anything on a whim and end up not using it or giving it away?  You no longer feel an attachment with that thing because maybe that connection was not strong enough or have you given something away and feel a grieving for the item.  Maybe should not have gotten rid of it.

Sidebar; I also feel it in photographs and people.)

Today's experience;

I had been to the doctors office and my husband had to be there. Protocol.

Anyway, on the way home he made a stop.  I was still a little sedated, but noticed a small thrift store a few doors down.  Of course, half dazed I jumped, if you can call it that, out of the car.  Upon entering this establishment I found 4 items, bada bing bada boom!

I was not even thinking of the craft especially any items for my alters.

I whole heartedly believe we are drawn to our tools.  They call to us in an invisible manner and most of us will follow that magnetic resonance to what we may need or unknowing feel the necessity for.

Also, I do believe we are able to create magick without items, but as a friend (ckevn and not using his exact words) pointed out in a recent conversation, we do need to continue our ritual so all that we know is not scattered into a collage, a free for all.  Maintaining ritual and traditions are very important.  Maybe even more so today where it's an easy in easy out life style.

You know I am going to pose the question, right?

Are you feeling this connection as well?

New to our path, have you experienced this yet?

I will post the items that have called to me today.

Awaiting any and all feedback.

It is an amazing tale.  I believe most people get "the message."

"Community" was before agriculture.

We are all beautiful.

Material items are that, just material.

We have a few swap groups within groups.  So, our community is there if you are in need.

thank you Saladman.

Son of Laufey, rant away.

You may be surprised how many people are listeing.  They may not respond, but your words have value.

"Make time for self," it is important.

Thank you all for sharing.

Hail to the Lady and Her Consort!

Or

Hail to your Deities!

My tools have come to me for what seems like a lifetime..I have a bell that I use that I purchased many moons ago in Spain. We were forbidden to speak to the "gypsies" and never, ever buy anything from them... I found them intriguing and they were very kind to me. I bought a brass bell from them that I use for my altar. I also have a seagull feather that I got from the beach as well that I use for smudging. And for my altar cloth I use a mexican cross stitched doily that was my grandmother's. It is probably my most treasured item. It makes me feel like she is with me when I do my rituals. My pendulum is also treasured. I made it  myself. I used crystals that I were calling me and some polymer clay and a broken necklace that I had. It never fails me. I also have a myriad of crystals. I love, love, love my crystals. Some I have found outside. Others from river beds, and some from shops. All have special meaning and the vibrations are just wonderful. I love the way they feel and I have them all around my home and altar and even carry a pouch of them in my purse. When I am stressed at work I hold them and feel the energy take me away. This makes me think of the song "these are a few of my favorite things"...lol well that is my list of my favorite things.

Blessings,

Elena

dont let your possessions own you.

I don't feel we do.

Appreciate your response

I like these positive, upbeat discussions.

As far as objects calling to me goes I am not so sensitive that way, I think it's what you would call psychometry. However when I first met the Goddess I noticed that all the clothes and other items I wore for worshipping her and the God were given to me around that time, and of course I felt she had sent them to me ,which was lovely.
