We are very fortunate on the East Coast to have a variety of Pagan and Scottish /Celtic festivals. Almost any weekend,anywhere in Virginny,Nc,West Va,Tennessee,there is a festival going on. We participate and sponsor quite a few. We're heading to the Grandfather Mountains Highland Games Sunday,thousands of us from the Scottish Clans. Permalink Reply by Thorn the Musician on Pennsic is the largest SCA event, averages 10,000, yes 10,000 people. It's 2 weeks long. It's held at Cooper's Campground in Butler county Pa. about 45 mins north of Pittsburgh. It's also international. I've met people from Australia, England, Germany, and of course Canada. Aside from combat, there is the arts and sciences, 100's of classes from how to build seige weapons to how to camp without ice. Drumming everynight in someone's camp, big theme parties, and several hundred vendors.

Permalink Reply by Gilfur Ashardi on I usually go to the Tx Ren Fest, but I don't know that I'd say I "do" them. LOL! I like to pretend to be a musician, and I've gotten good enough that I might be able to fool non-musicians for the space of a song or two. So, I go and drink, and if the mood strikes me, then I play at playing.
I hope the crowd at Witchstock has forgiving ears, or enough other musicians that I can blend in.
