Pagan Sexuality

I am going to do a show soon on Paganism and Sexuality and I am just curious what some folks may have to contribute to this.

I will start with Myself as an Example I am Very Much into Women but not "one Person" in particular.

I do not understand why a love for many is not Natural in some peoples eyes.

So many women have so many amazing gifts and Qualities to love, there is in my opinion, nothing Unatural with Loving More than one.

For the record I am not a "Pig" and I do not like deception.

And I believe fully that if you agree to be faithful than you should remain so.

 I believe in openess and honesty for all involved.

As well I will state that My personal  view on love may is not "Pagan" it is just how I feel. It is just as I stated a personal view. I want to clarify that. so this point hjas been Mildly Edcitted though already stated .

But I am a Free Bird , a Sparrow, an air sign, I can not imagine answering to one person at

The end of the day and at this point in my life. 

Many People when they here the word "Pagan " think of Sexual Liberation ,Counter culture etc.. 

So our show will be discussing all aspects of this including "Skyclad"(Not a sexual Issue per say  but it is something that is often asked when folks find out I am Pagan)

 And Marriage Equality Issues we will discuss as well..

We will have a few interesting co -hosts and Guests to Discuss "Pagan Sexuality" Including a Unitarian Minister, feel free to comment and have a Beautiful Day!

For me, I'm in the middle. Casual sex with people is alright for me but as for a relationship, I prefer one person because adding others is too much bullshit for me. I'm not gonna emotionally take care of those people.

However, if someone wants to be polygamous or polymarous, more power to them. I'm alright with most sexuality. I only draw a line if something is abusive. (Excluding things like bdsm, I'm not talking about that sort of "abuse".)

Although I find the subject of sexuality fasinating, I don't have a dissenting opinion on most love-sex practices.

I personally don't believe in casual sex, only because any one that I sleep with I will feel something for even if it is not "love" in the one and only kind of way.  I can see how a person can love more than one person and even of different sexes.  You should love someone for their heart and mind not just weather they are male or female.  I do like the idea of being polygamous because it always seems to one sided. I can have a relationship with more than one person, but I would not marry anyone.  Being married to someone won't keep you true to them only your heart will.

In a primal sense, what you feel is VERY NATURAL because your primal side is looking to mate with many different women to ensure your genes last if that makes sense. The only reason this is frowned upon is because of the christian belief in monogamy. PERSONALLY i have only been with one man and plan to stay with only one man because 1. I have issues with men 2. i just don't feel the need for another lover

Nevermind the fact monogamy is not and was never practiced by all Christians or such a thing existed in "pagan" traditions.

As to the stand on Pagans and Sexuality, yes. I like to think that we are liberated and open minded. At least compared to other 'religions', especially the big three (in mass, individuals there are still outnumbered). But we also have our bigots. I have found many Pagans that I have personally spoke with are perfectly fine with open relationships, homosexual relationships, views on wider or less restrictions on marriage, etc. And while this is not always a means of describing what they want for their own life they are not going to stand in the way of what another wants for THEIR life. It is that respect for the wishes and wants of others that I truly enjoy about this community.

People should be able to do whatever the hell they feel like doing just so long as both parties are able to consent and able to understand what is going on.

Personally, I'm a gay man in a monogamous relationship. However, I do not feel that it would be wrong to have multiple sexual relationships in addition to the monogamous one.

Thanks , and I feel that being Monogomous is Natrural as well, as far as social structure and Raising children it makes sense.

I as well feel that Homosexuality is very Natural, I view it as a simple balancing of Masculine or Feminine energies within the individual for the purposes of this incarnation.

My Brother is a Minister who has Married Many same sex Couples.

In the USA I think that many people are comming around to being accepting of Same Sex Unions.

This is why Many of the Fundamentalist groups who are against Marriage equality have set their sights elsewhere (Africa is an example). I personally have met a Minister Mark Kiyimba from Uganda, his life was in danger for standing up for Gay rights in his Home Country. Oh I almost forgot all the fancy schmancy pseudo spiritual excuses to behave in a selfish way *shrugs*

Oh I forgot, you were calling me "angry" because I suggested you to be able to perform well and deliver fully, if you are insisting on doing your piaya thang. The really good men are beyond using "paganism" or anything else as excuse/embellishment.

What I do or not do is my business alone and I will not use some weird new age shit to justify my activities or the lack thereof, also when it comes to sex and relationships. I am not a coward, I stand behind my preferences and do not need to hide behind "spirituality".

I did clearly state that my view on Love is not to be classified as Pagan, The Line you quoted( Air sign ,free bird all that) was just a bit of fun. I was trying to keep it Light.

I am not "Hiding " anything I was admitting my preferences and Views on personal love in a Public forum! haha!

Couched behind an assortment of justifications.  That was Maire's point.

People ARE selfish, it's part of the human condition and it DOESN'T have to be taken to a negative extreme.  But as soon as you start making excuses and justifications to be a given way--rather then just saying "this is who and what I am"--it becomes suspect.
