Of the array of different plants available to bestow a spell, charm, etc. with varying magical properties (or even just for ceremonial use), has anyone ever thought of utilizing a carnivorous plant in any such process? Why or why not?
(P.S. please do not argue that these plants are closer to living things than other plants as life is life regardless of viewpoint.)

I mean think about it. A venus fly trap can eat flies, ants etc right? If there aren't any available then you feed it raw ground beef. If you were to charge the meat with whatever you want to get rid of then as it (the plant) digested the meat the problem should be digested as well. It'd be interesting to try anyway.
