I wanted to know if there are any websites out there that are helpful and informative. I thought this would be a good place to share for newbies who want to get the basics or oldies who want to learn more.
Thanks :)

Permalink Reply by Briana Rós Banallen on August 8, 2012 at 3:56pm thanks. I'm not Wiccan so this is helpful. The web is flooded with Wicca specific stuff.

Permalink Reply by Garlic Clove on August 8, 2012 at 10:52pm http://www.sacred-texts.com/index.htm- if it is a text in the public domain that pertains to religion, mythology, or magick, it is probably there. Full texts of the Poetic and Prose Edas, Classical Myths and Greek plays, Primary sources galore. And if it is not there, check: http://www.gutenberg.org/
http://www.patheos.com/- a site that hosts blogs and columns on religion. While it doesn't just have Pagan Bloggers, you'll find The Wild Hunt, one of the most up to date Pagan news blogs (which is informative, even if the author sometimes comes off as rather jaded), and blogs and columns by everyone from an AFD Druid to reconstructionists. Also great for people interested in learning about other relgions. I am amazed that this site exists and that all of it's varied contributes (from evangelicals to atheists) can for the most part coexist on one site!

a great source on practical herbalism. Weed focuses on woman's health, but a lot of her how-tos are applicable for anyone who wants to work with herbal remedies.
Thank you for this discussion and thank you all for the comments. I am still learning at my advanced age. I appreciate the information.

Handy tips for the newfolks (and possibly some that aren't so new, because bad habits happen)
