Psycho Moms

My mother is the most selfish person I know. She has a major case of empty nest syndrome and she is basically holding my girls and I hostage in her house. She was great until my oldest daughter was born, and ever since then, she has been PSYCHO. She offered me 25000 dollars for my oldest daughter and she wants me to sign my rights over to her. I raise my kids, but we live with her and her husband, and I can't leave until after I get primary custody of my child. Court order says that when I have my littlest baby, I have to live with my mother.

My heart goes out to you and all the advice I can offer is to get the hell away from that house as soon as you can.... the sooner the better... the younger they are, the easier it will be to establish yourself as Mom... and when you do leave, keep your mother out of your life... even when you leave they still interfere if you let them... and the effects are just as bad.

She could take in a foster child and shower them with love and understanding if her empty nest is so lonely... she could take up a hobby, get a job in a daycare part time.... so many things she could do than try to steal your babies from you. That is a person appointed by the court to represent the best interest of the kids from a neutral point of view... now... I warn speaking to your attorney first, because if you have nowhere to go other than your parent's house and the person does not deem it a positive environment for your kids, he or she may suggest your x getting custody... it is a double edged sword that may or may not work in your favor but it is worth looking into at least....

My bf is working on building an extra room for the girls as we speak. I just hope that he hurries, because I really want out of this situation. Our home needs a lot of repairs. My deposition is this friday. He has a room to build, and windows to fix... wow. But, Trinity had a guardian ad litem. He never showed.

In any case the best advice anyone can give you is follow what the judge tells you to do. You don't want to lose those kids. Second keep fighting your ex like heck so you can move away. I have a friend in a similar situation. But she was also diagnosed with bypolar. And I witnessed minor things she has done to the kids. Nothing to report her for but she should have thought twice before doing. As far as I know trying to buy a child in this country is illegal. And if you can get proof that she has offered that to you maybe you can take that to the judge and he will let you move in with your current boyfriend or even on your own. BB my dear and hang in there.
