Quaint, as in pleasantly old fashion in a nostalgic way...
I found a term I like to describe my flavor of Wicca. It's not quite a tradition, but more of a "life style" that is optional and could be applied to other kinds of Pagans.
If you are a "Quaint" Pagan, you strive to live sustainably with the earth. You are cautious about what technologies you use. You might avoid using disposable products. You avoid materialism in favor for "Living Simply". You might raise your own livestock or garden. You reduce, reuse, and recycle. You might make your own clothing. You might be a localavore, having a preference for locally grown and/or organic food. You might be into making most of your food from scratch.
As a Quaint Wiccan, I use cloth diapers, cloth pads, and use rags more than paper towels. I buy used clothes, raise my own chickens, and belong to a CSA. I make my own yogurt and make bread in my bread machine. I make my own baby foods. I do worm composting. I'm studying Kitchen witchery, and I have designed a wooden spoon to be my wand. I'm growing my own chamomile for tea.....
So, is this making sense?
