Summer!

How is everyone spending their summer? What are you doing? Where are you going? What kind of fun are you having??? Share your pictures from your summer adventures!!!

I've been outdoors as much as possible; hiking, kayaking, swimming, camping, exploring, etc. It's been a very active past few weeks now that our rainy season is over! And on Sunday I am getting a mountain bike so that will definitely increase my plans for this summer.

Here are a few pics from my recent adventures on the Susquehanna River. Let me just offer you some advice...if you kayak DOWN the river, you CANNOT kayak back up! You have to get swept away about a mile off course, crash the kayak, then walk back for your car. Just so you know... I thought I was going to end up in the Chesapeake Bay!

Hey, if you ever do that:

a) Follow the current south (try to stay out of the shipping channel)
b) Turn west onto the community beach just inside the mouth of the South River below Annapolis
c) Call me, and we'll come pick you up (we live a mile inland)

We live close to the beach and mountains and have made a few trips to both. l did spend last weekend in Boston. The water is colder here and a lot more choppy but the sand is cleaner and theres no gook to step over to get into the water.; ▶ Reply to This
