It's a bit of an overly dramatic name but an interesting article. Apparently an 11,000 year old settlement has been found in the Baltic Sea. I just thought that some people might be interested:

I just read the other day that they actually have found remains of victims of Vesuvius 300 or so years BEFORE the famous eruption in 79 ce.
