Take Responsibility for yourself (yes it's another rant).

Yep, I have only been back for a few days, maybe a week, I'm not sure and already I'm going on a rant. (What's new?)

Perhaps I am naive, or maybe I am trying to live in a world that doesn't exist...but as a Witch I have always believed that personal responsibility was a Must. Where is the honor in performing actions or running your mouth and expecting that you are somehow above ownership of what you have done?

In the last couple of days, maybe three...I have seen several people trying to reach another person's awareness, politely in a way that doesn't cause one person to have to swallow a bunch of crap, but that gave them a nice way out basically...instead of seeing their actions and what was being created by their words, they twisted and writhed their way out of responsibility and put the blame on the other people.

This reminds me of those who would abuse their spouse or children..."it's not my fault your upset...your the one with issues..."

What a load! If you say something then you have to own up to the effect that your words have caused...and before you go off touting how wise you are then you should learn how to keep your mouth shut...that in itself is a good piece of wisdom to learn.

And another thing...before you go on a "fix everybody" warpath, you should make sure your not broken! Some of us don't need your answers or your "enlightenment" especially when your doing it out of some need to show how wise and powerful you are. Give me a break. Yes words have power...so learn how to speak with a bit wisdom.

For the most part I love this site and the people here. I get tired of seeing the same dedicated people to our community get attacked and insulted by the "fly-by-nights" who preach the greater mysteries, but are by their own actions missing a large piece of the puzzle.

We all (for the most part) are grown ups and (for the most part) we are all smart enough to know that words only have the power we give them. This is why we live in the greatest and worst age man has seen. We have an opportunity as a community to spread the word of who we are (because of freedom of speach) without as much fear of reprecutions. and as a communit we may help teach and mentor our youth together because of this vast information age (and computeres) But we also have to watch out for eachother for the frauds and those who do not fear the law or care about our rights so this opportunity we have should be charished and well utilized (is that soap box enough for ya)
But basically if someone is truely a threat for something that they are saying or missinformation or all out lies.......Then they should be called out for it. as I would expect this done to myself.

What I cant stand is ....(an example) if someone says "all men are wife beaters and cheat" well obviously that cannot be true so of course there are men who will take offense to that and as is their right they call the person out on it...but the person who made the comment only response is...well if you have a problem with what I said it must be because it holds some truth in it for you.

That is a load of crap and we all know it. (Well those of us who are logical)

Thanks for understanding...fraud is a great word and really hits how I feel about people when they act in such a way.

Sure, some people are only out to egg others on, course, as a grown adult, you should see through that. But anger is born in you, it is your choice to be affected by anothers words. If you think thats crap, well, I am not going to say I am sorry but I do hope you find peace by whatever means works for you.
If a person is actively attempting to anger you they should own it....just as you should for allowing it to happen.

Of course when the other person continues to insult you or refuses to see where the statement needs adjustment an average person will get angry. I usually leave the room, but...IF a person goes around touting "I know more than you do..."(please read this to the sing song taunting of children, lol) they are obviously showing their own ignorance and should own up to being responsible for their words.

If we refuse to change we become stagnant, and we all know how smelly stagnant water is.

This is not the case and should not be so. This is open forum and discussion. State your opinion and if it's worth a damn, then so be it. Don't go on a holier than thou attitude due to you having the "booksmarts" some of us lack. Some of us grew up in the school of LIFE and have little to no time for all of the freudian books you others have endless time to read and research.
