i have watch a friend of mine having a tattoo done and he was smoking so heavy and his face turned red i couldnt believe that it didnt hurt, and my sister has had one done and she said it felt like little scratches

LOL! The "tugging" sensation isn't what I'd call PLEASANT when the outline is done, but to me that was more painful than the shading and filliing in. MOSTLY??? To me it felt like a REALLY bad razor burn! LOL!
Nowhere NEAR as painful as having your navel pierced! LOL!

I have one on my upper arm and it didn't really hurt. The only part that bothered me was when he kept wiping it

I have a large piece on my lower back. I didn't find any of it painful.. In fact , we all laughed and joked through it procedure that took almost 4 hours. I DO have a high pain tolerance, and I don't have a fear of needles.. A nurse with neddlephobia would be a bad thing.

I only have the one, but I have been told they hurt less when not placed over bony areas

i have only had my ears pieced and that was more of a shock then anything else.and put me off having anything else done LOL

I have a piercing addiction right now..lol But I am restraining myself..lol I am getting another set of snake bites then I'm gonna be good for a while..lol

I had the Goddess pentacle tattooed om my ankle and in the beginning when he was doing the black outline it hurt like a mother *(&^%* but after a while it numbed out and the rest was just fine.

I tell ya what if somebody would smack the crap out of my tat, after sitting there and going trough the pain, and the skin and muscles still being all raw and on edge I would slap the living Dog Crap out of them.....boy I would come out of my skin....
