...the ripple effect...

...hey everyone...

...i just had the strangest thing happen this evening...im wondering if anyone knows about this...ive just tried researching it to find out the cause...but truly found nothing...
...i call it the ripple effect...k...i was standing in the kitchen of my friends place..there was three of us there...my other two friends were standing directly in line with one another...and i was off to the side of them both...they were busy cooking...we were all talking...having fun...when all of a sudden my one friend just grabs at the wall beside her and at the very same moment i looked at her and said "shifted"...she looked at me asking if i felt it too...
...but what happened was like it seemed like the floor was falling in all of a sudden...we all got light headed and dizzy and felt unstable standing...i guess kind of like vertigo...and no...we werent drinking or using drugs or smoking...lol...it lasted maybe 20 seconds...it seemed to ripple through...
...im wondering what happened...
...i'll give yooh a little back ground too...in her basement is a dark entity...its very powerful...about three weekends ago...my paranormal hunting group had tried to banish it...but im afraid we were only able to weaken it...i did a walkabout down there just last week...it was weaker feeling and not so active...
...after what happened in my friends kitchen we decided to go into the basement...wondering if this was connected to what happened...we think it is...it was very heavy down there...very cold...we were all having breathing problems and the prickling on the tops of our heads...my vision was blurring...my friend was seeing a waving effect in the air..kind of like the steam that comes off blacktop on a hot day...and i was seeing fast moving motions as if something was moving around super fast...it was very unsettling down there...
...has anyone experienced this before or knows what is happening?...im wondering if the entity had maybe moved through us when we were upstaires...to cause the vertigo feeling...

...oh yes...the pic i posted...is from her basement...it was taken before my group tried to banish the entity...

Permalink Reply by d'Arqstar on March 4, 2009 at 12:35am: Seems likely that TAPS would be down their with their meters checking for electrical emissions, noxious fumes, and magnetic anomalies FIRST...especially since the basement is partially unfinished and there appears to wires and eqiupment there.
As to the "ripple", I HAVE experienced that...though I can't explain exactly what it is.
All your physical reactions would have me ruling out the mundane first and foremost...it MIGHT be dangerous!

I'd have your wiring and electrical appliances checked out, sometimes feelings of vertigo, and strange sensations can be caused by electrical motors putting off particular frequencies. There was a laboratory I read of that had many reported hauntings by staff. When they ran a full investigation they discovered a ventilation fan was outputting sound frequencies of a very particular range which can cause very similar effects to those you described. Feelings of vertigo, sensory hallucinations, that kind of thing.

Also if you have a gas line running through your basement you should REALLY get it checked, it could be responsible for the waving effect in the air.; ▶ Reply to This

...but the main floor of this building is a restaurant...and everything is up to code...all the electrical...gases...and whatnot test are done on a schedualed bases...there are no out of normal readings emanating from anywhere...if this helps any...
...although...im not sure bout it being checked for magnetic anomalies as d'arqstar has mentioned...

This ripple effect tends to happen when an entity of higher power seeks energy. It probly went through the area you all were in causing this ripple effect.

What have you done to stop this entity from moving from its location and or what did u do at the time to try to ward this entity off? I just ask for concern and the safty of other. This thing may just have the power to come back within a cupple months.; ▶ Reply to This

...we know it is once again becoming more powerful...and yes yooh are right...it is feeding off the owners negitive energies...she becomes quite unstable at times...this fears me...i would like to help her...do yooh have any suggestions?...i certainly would appreciate them...thank yooh...

What makes your dark blessings a proper blessing when you have concerns about a dark entity?
It's almost like darkness has two meanings for you.

"When you run in with your guns drawn, theres more likely going to be a fight."

Starting off with a banishing ritual is sometimes a good way to make a spirirt stand and fight so to speak. It feels it has a reason to be there so it will not be ordered out so quickly. Wile there are times that it will come down to a banishing or a exorcism these should not be the first action.

Last year a friend called me to talk about a problem her friend and coworker was having with a poltergiest in her home. It was breaking glass of all types, making things fall on the floor, moving objects, ect. So her and this other lady tried several banishing rituals to rid her of the problem spirit. During the last banishing the spirit broke a bowl that the homeowner was holding in her hand during the ritual. With each ritual the spirit seemed to become more angry and further increased its presence. The homeowner was experiencing physcial effects much like you discribed in this discussion when she was home. It was so constant and kept her so ill she had left her own home and was staying with familly.

I agreed to meet with her and her friend later that day to see if I could be any help. When we arrived at the house you could feel the energy so thick in the air you could cut it with a knife. I identified myself to the spirit only with my first name and told it I had not come there to try and make it leave. I only wanted to know why it was there and what it wanted. As quick as that the energy in the house reduced to a comfortable level.

During my discussion with the spirit I was able to find out that it was the father of the homeowners daughters husband. And that he was upset about the treatment of his remains. Unknown to the homeowner her daughter and son in law had placed the fathers box of ashes in a closet within the home. He did not like the lady that owned the home even in life so he was very upset his remains were in her home on the floor of the closet. We did infact find a box labeled as his remains.

I then asked him what would he want done with his remains that would allow him peace and to move on. He asked that his remains be placed with his father. We moved the remains to his fathers house and all problems went away. No more breaking glass or ill feelings for the homeowner were experienced after that.

Again in some cases it does come down to some sort of ritual but never use that as your first solution.; ▶ Reply to This

Feels like what vertigo must feel like I think> I have felt it on hardwood floors and standing on a concrete foundation. It is a weird feeling but I have never thought farther than how weird this feels. It may be connected to the banishing try. I know there has to be an explanation but I don't have one for you. I wouldn't see where wires and pipes could cause this. It may be dangerous if it is connected to the presence you were trying to banish. Sometimes these things stay in one area and sort of send out signals into other areas but not actually exist there. Could be it was letting you know that it was still there and to beware. It may be happy in the basement and not intend any harm. I don't know, sorry; ▶ Reply to This

Well, if the spirit/entity has a perceived "right" to be in the building and the owner of the building does not tell it to go, then it will stay no matter what you do. You could try talking to it, as Paul suggests, to see if it will leave willingly once its needs are met; if that doesn't work, you could help your friend to mark "her territory" by putting up wards around her apartment (walls, ceilings and floors) to keep it out of her space.; ▶ Reply to This
