I had a near death experience a few years ago. I heard a voice say "WE ARE ALL ONE IN THE SAME" the voice was a booming one, and very difficult to distinguish gender... I found this video on facebook this morning.... and it kinda goes along (rather well) with my experience....
What are your thoughts on the greater human consciousness?
How connected do you feel with everyone?
Is there a way to enlighten others to see it from this perspective? Or is it pointless to try?
Have any of you had any experiences like this one?
I'd like to hear everyone thoughts on this :)

The statement itself is a truism. Everyone either knows it and/or believes it and/or has heard of it.
That message might have been for you.
It was the result of an overdose... Mind you I have had a few other experiences that did not involve drugs... and have not done any since I was a teen (when this happened)
Permalink Reply by Kixs on July 1, 2012 at 3:03pm I'm not a big believer in the "greater human consciousness" to me putting those three words in a sentence is well one hell of an oxymoron. But the greater consciousness of all, I do see as an absolute. When you say we are all one, I do not limit to simple humans, but all of creation. We are all connected and by we, I mean everything. I feel very connected to all, well except a few humans and creepy crawlys, they creep me out...lol. So I avoid them, both the humans and insects...lol. I feel this connection every day, I go out of my way to feel it, to be apart of it.
By the way, it's never pointless to try.

Many connections made on my journey with people and creation alike.
Not all connections are positive, some are negative, I endeavour to learn about what/who I connect with and how others connect with me. Is it coincidence that I connect with a particular person or thing?
I have not had a NDE, I was with my mother when she passed away, after months of pain and out of it on morphine, her body finally gave up the fight, exhausted. I will NEVER forget the look in her eyes at the end. She stared right past me, then started to laugh, she laughed and laughed, not hysterical laughter but a belly laugh, like she was truly gleeeful about something, she then died with a huge grin on her face! The grin was so unsettling, that by the time my aunt arrived and saw her sister dead but grinning, she completely freaked out!
Whatever she experienced, it was something monumental, something she was glad/happy to meet/understand.

DS, that is so sorrowful yet uplifting at the same time.
I agree that our experiences open various pathways and connections, based on how we interpret them.

The hospital staff where quick to fob off 'the drugs' for my mothers laughter and death grin to my aunt, but that is BS! I might have only been 16 at the time, but I was not as naive as they assumed.
I watched my mother on morphine for months, she was never alert and struggling to cope with pain. She sat up bolt upright at the end, laughing like a gleeful child, but was calm and more lucid than I had seen her.
I feel ya on the loving family who makes you feel different.... I think that is why I stay in the broom closet to most... I got tired real fast about being called crazy (only to have me be right a lot of the time lol)
I'm going to google those studies in a bit ;)
thanks Dream :)
Permalink Reply by Gilfur Ashardi on July 4, 2012 at 12:33pm I'm in complete agreement with the video; especially with Bill Hicks' comments at the end, but I truly appreciate John Hagelin's description of the unified field. Actually, the two words probably ought to be capitalized, because what he describes is God, or All That Is, the ultimate divinity (if you have a bent toward higher power spiritualism) or the ultimate power source (if you don't).
Over the past two years, my previous understanding of this has really mushroomed with constant, new, "higher" perspectives. It truly IS just a ride, and that we--the participant/co-creators--constitute individual points of reference for the Unified Field, defined by complex environmental differences. But, what this implies is very uncomfortable to most people. It means that morality is not an absolute, but instead a construct of the social matrix that surrounds each identity (us).
Good and Evil are irrelevant, except as a spectrum of orientational references.
This is what this topic means to me.
Permalink Reply by Green on July 4, 2012 at 4:07pm its usely very hard to explain to people. that u and them r part of the same.. usely causes an arguemtn. and breaks the foundation of there beliefs..

Every man and woman is a star - Aleister Crowley...I believe that we all come from the same energy...however....I think Earth life give us a chance to be free from that collective and to do marvelous things with that freedom...
If we all think the same thoughts, at the same time, we become an organism not humans...humans have the gift of individal thought..use it wisely..do first instead of having someone else tell you what to do..think for yourself....I do not believe in one mind, I believe the individual is needed here on earth....The greater consciousness developes Archytypes, something we can all agree on, but it is how we use that knowledge that makes the world spin. Everyone thinking the same thought at the same time all the time, what kind of world is that...I like being an individual, I am developing my spirit by my actions here on Earth..at least thats my opinion
Permalink Reply by Party Pooper on July 6, 2012 at 1:16pm What are your thoughts on the greater human consciousness?
I think that human consciousness (in general) is still developing. We only use 10% of our brain (ref) when awake and maybe people are not as consciously aware as they think they are.
How connected do you feel with everyone?
I don't feel connected to everyone, but if the connection is the diverse Ecosysytem of Earth then yes. We are all connected because we are part of a trophic level within a food chain that needs to evolve and compete for resources in our own biological environment. In other words...I'm after the same box of cereal the soccer mom wants for her kids at the grocery store but I shall fight to get my cereal!
Is there a way to enlighten others to see it from this perspective? Or is it pointless to try?
I would hope that someone with a MENSA IQ of 170 would be more "enlightened" than Billyjoe Bob who has a criminal background sheet longer than a football field. It is nature's greater interest or Darwin's law of evolution to nurture the strongest. So yes, for some it is pointless to try to "enlighten" them.
Have any of you had any experiences like this one?
Nope. Can't say I have. Although I still like to think that we were all made by a higher power to share our beliefs, to laugh together, and to learn from one another.
