Weird pic

So we visited Red Rock Canyon today here in vegas....nice place to visit for you friendly tourists who grace our valley. Anyway, i took this pic, and I'd love to hear your feedback, i just noticed this when i was looking at comments on my FB about my photos.

maybe it's nothing or maybe it's "something"...maybe you can explain. There was noone standing behind the kids dad to cast this shadow and it sort of has a "face" on it as well. It's in the lower right corner where he's standing watching our son in the "cave" thing. His head is totally gone and this black "thing" is there instead.

If it's nothing I'll remove this thread, but if it's something maybe you can explain it.

Permalink Reply by MommaDragonfly on November 7, 2009 at 9:46pm: I zoomed in and that's how i saw a "face" kind of like an alien face looking shape(you know holes where the eyes would be on a face...but big holes). It's just weird because his head is totally disappeared in the photo...see? doo doo doo doo it's like where his head should be is that shadow which looks like someone standing over him.

Notice in the first one the tree is straight but they are tilting....wavy, not like it would be from the landscape(rocks, dips etc...). And the second photo here his shadow isn't right. its almost like it's following him, if there is something. And again, i'm still keeping an open mind on this. Which is why I've asked you all your opinions. it is kinda cool though dontcha think? LOL
Oh, he wasn't wearing a cap either.

Permalink Reply by Nodoka Phoenix on November 8, 2009 at 3:42am: The shirt the guy in these two pics is wearing matches the one in the bottom right corner of the 'odd' pic. It is the guy. The shadow part that looks like a hat could be anything that happened to be going past and just happened to appear in the right spot to make it look like a hat shadow. It is probably what made the rest of his face shadowed as well.

Understand I am by nature skeptical of things I see without firm evidence. That said I have also experienced things that I cannot explain.

Permalink Reply by Scarlet on November 7, 2009 at 9:55pm: It does look odd, but to me, it looks like it could simply be out of focus... and since the photo is focusig on the child, not the father, that makes sense... the outline looks very much like a father wearing a ball-cap looking up at his son, just that the coloring is slightly off, possibly caused by poor focus, movement or something casting a shadow on his head, like another person, the overhanging ridge or even a passing bird...

In fact, the more I look at it, the way the photo is cut... It very well might be the father' own shadow cast on the wall, which would explain the odd lines within the shadow which seem to match the rock, with the shadows' head matching up with the actual shoulder making it look as if the shadow is where the mans head should be, despite his actual posture putting his real head just out of frame. I don't think the man is leaning forward as much as the illusion of the shadow suggests... if you pull back and imagine that his back is to the camera, not his side, you can project where his real head would be, with his neck turned to create the shadow.

Caves do tend to have lingering spirits for the history it holds for many years ago. But you are sure there wasn't anyone behind your husband to cast this shadow?? If not,then it is indeed very weird.
